Upload as Fast as You Download
Agencies and production houses live in the direction the internet is worst at. Cuts to Frame.io, renders to the cloud, masters to a client, campaign assets to a dozen platforms: it all goes out. Summit's fixed wireless offers symmetrical speeds on our own network, live in 10 days, so the export stops being the slowest part of the day.

What does your business need?
Pick one or more. We'll quote it as a bundle if you do.
The Connectivity Challenge
Almost every internet plan sold in Australia is built on an assumption that is exactly wrong for a creative business: that you will download much more than you upload.
For a household that's true. For an agency, a studio or a production house it's inverted. Think about what actually leaves your building on a normal Tuesday. A 4K cut pushed to Frame.io for client review. A revised master to the client's server. Renders going out to a cloud render farm and coming back. Project files syncing to Dropbox, Google Drive or a DAM so an editor at home can pick them up. Campaign assets delivered in fourteen aspect ratios to Meta, YouTube, TikTok and a media agency's portal. Podcast masters to a distributor. A stream going out from an event. Photography sets to a retoucher. Backups leaving the premises overnight.
On a typical business plan, download might be ten times your upload. So a 40 gigabyte export that would take minutes if the connection were symmetric takes an hour or more, and while it's going, everyone else in the studio suffers: the video call stutters, the cloud project file won't sync, and the person trying to pull footage sits and waits. The upload becomes the bottleneck that sets the pace of the whole business.
The deadlines make it worse, because creative work is uniquely back-loaded. Nothing needs to go out for three days, then everything needs to go out in the last four hours before a client presentation, a campaign launch or a broadcast deadline. That is precisely when you discover the upload ceiling, and there is no version of "we'll send it overnight" that a client accepts on launch day.
Workflows have also moved wholesale into the cloud, which changed the requirement from speed to consistency. Premiere and DaVinci projects on shared cloud storage. Creative Cloud syncing constantly. Review-and-approve platforms where a client scrubs through a cut in real time and gets a bad impression of your work because the playback stalls at their end. AI tooling that round-trips large assets to somebody else's GPUs. Cloud render pipelines that bill by the hour, so a slow transfer costs money directly. Editing a proxy on one machine while the source lives elsewhere. Every one of those degrades badly with a connection that's merely fast on average.
Then there's live. Streaming an event, a webinar, a product launch or a shoot to a client watching remotely puts sustained upload demand on a connection for hours with no tolerance for a dropout. A stream that fails during a client's launch is not something you recover from with an apology.
And the team is scattered. Studio-based staff, freelancers in for a project, an editor working from home, a producer on a shoot, a strategist at the client's office. They all need to reach the same project files and be reachable on the same number, and a freelancer who can't pull footage on day one is a day of a rate card you're paying for nothing.
Studio spaces bring their own frustration. Cremorne, Collingwood, Fitzroy, Richmond, South Melbourne: converted warehouses and older commercial buildings, often with no fibre in the building and a landlord uninterested in a lead-in build. You are told a build is three months and a large five-figure sum, on a five-year lease you may not renew.
How Summit Helps Agencies and Studios
-
Symmetrical Speed, Which Is the Whole Point
Summit's fixed wireless network offers symmetrical speed options where upload matches download. For a creative business this single change does more than any other: the export, the client review push, the render upload and the overnight backup all stop being the constraint on the day.
Because it's delivered over the air, it also solves the building problem. No fibre in your converted warehouse, no lead-in, no landlord approval, no three-month build. Within our Melbourne coverage footprint we connect a site in 10 days or your first month is free, which comfortably fits inside a fit-out.
-
Capacity Sized for the Last Four Hours
We don't size a creative business on headcount, because the load has nothing to do with how many desks you have and everything to do with what leaves the building when a deadline lands. Twelve people pushing 4K can generate more traffic than a hundred people in an office.
Tell us the size of a typical delivery, how often you do it and what your worst week looks like, and we'll size for that rather than for an average that never happens.
-
Sustained Upload for Live and Streaming
A stream is different from a transfer: it needs a stable rate held for hours, not a fast burst. Where you're streaming events, launches or shoots to remote clients, tell us and we'll size and configure for sustained upstream demand, including whether a dedicated service or a fibre connection is the sensible answer for the way you actually work.
-
Business Grade Fibre Where Capacity Justifies It
For post houses, larger studios and anyone running a serious on-premises workflow, Business Grade Fibre delivers symmetric high capacity where it's available or worth building to. We'll tell you honestly which of the two you are: plenty of agencies are well served by fixed wireless, and a fibre build is not a status symbol worth paying for if it isn't needed.
-
Backup, Because Launch Day Doesn't Move
Campaign launches, broadcast deadlines and client presentations are fixed dates. Summit's 4G backup fails over automatically when the primary connection drops, so a delivery in progress, a client review session or a live call keeps going. For a business whose entire value is delivering on a date, it's cheap.
-
Phones That Follow a Hybrid Team
Summit's cloud phone system gives everyone an extension that works in the studio, at home, on a shoot or on a laptop. One 1300 number for new business, ring groups so a new business enquiry doesn't ring out, and voicemail to email for people who were in a session all afternoon.
Microsoft Teams Calling is available if your agency already runs on Teams, so the phone system lives in the tool your team already has open. Static IP addressing supports VPN access for freelancers and remote editors reaching studio storage.

Why Agencies and Studios Choose Summit
- 01
Symmetrical Is a Product Decision, Not an Upsell
Most providers treat upload as the number nobody reads. For a creative business it's the only number that matters, and it's built into our fixed wireless product rather than sold as an extra. If you have spent years waiting on exports, this is the fix.
- 02
Our Own Network Means Our Own Timeline
On fixed wireless we own the infrastructure, which is why we can connect a studio in 10 days without a lead-in build and why traffic prioritisation is ours to configure. When something degrades, it's ours to fix rather than ours to report to a wholesaler.
- 03
We Size on Deliveries, Not Desks
Headcount tells us nothing about a studio. What we want to know is the size of a typical delivery, how many go out on a bad week and whether you stream. That's the conversation that produces the right service.
- 04
We'll Tell You When You Don't Need Fibre
A fibre build is the right answer for some post houses and the wrong answer for most agencies. We'd rather put you on the service that fits and keep you for a decade than sell you capacity you'll never use. That includes saying so when your current connection is fine and the problem is somewhere else.

After working with another ISP for several months to deliver a critical internet service for a major international sporting event, we were ultimately advised that the required upgrade was unlikely to be completed prior to event week. This left us facing a significant risk to service delivery. After exhausting all other options (and a few sleepless nights) we came across Summit Internet. From the initial conversation, Allan immediately understood the severity of the situation and quickly engaged his technical delivery team. Michael “Radar” was on site within days to assess and finalise a solution. Despite challenging conditions, including large trees and other obstructions, he worked tirelessly to design and implement an alternative approach. Leveraging an adjacent building, a temporary NBN connection, and a wireless link into the comms room, the solution was delivered within 24 hours of the initial site visit. Not only was the outcome faster than expected, but it was also more cost effective and delivered higher speeds than originally promised by the previous ISP. Over the course of the event, the service handled terabytes of data and supported hundreds of concurrent users without a single speed or performance issue. I cannot thank Summit Internet, particularly Allan and Radar enough for their exceptional service, technical expertise, and commitment to delivering under pressure. Highly recommended.Read more

Summit internet recently set my small business up with a local land line number and a soft phone that runs off an app on my mobile - getting my personal phone number off the internet and being able to distinguish between business and personal calls is a game changer. Whole process took less than a week, and is super cost effective. Highly recommend.Read more
