Check Mobile Coverage at Your Business Address

Summit business mobile, mobile broadband and 4G backup run on Australia's biggest mobile network, so this is the coverage you get. Give us the address and we will tell you what it will actually do there.

Telstra Wholesale Mobile network coverage

Coverage is not a yes or no answer. It depends on the exact location, the building it is going into, and what you need the connection to do. The network carries 5G and 4G service.

What a coverage map does and does not tell you

Maps are a starting point. Here is what we look at before putting mobile into a business site.

  • Coverage is not the same as capacity

A map tells you whether there is signal at an address. It does not tell you how many other people are sharing that tower at 9am. If mobile is carrying something critical, such as EFTPOS or a failover path, talk to us about what the site actually needs rather than relying on a colour on a map.

  • Indoor coverage is different to outdoor

The map shows outdoor coverage. Building materials matter: concrete, foil-backed insulation, double glazing and basements all attenuate signal. A site can show strong outdoor coverage and still be unusable at a back-office desk.

  • Devices differ

Two handsets in the same spot can perform differently depending on antenna design and which bands they support. External antennas and signal repeaters are options for marginal sites, and we can advise on them.

  • Check before you commit, not after

If mobile broadband or 4G backup is going into a specific premises, we will confirm the site properly as part of the quote. That is a better answer than a map, and it costs you nothing.

Need a fixed connection at that site too?

Mobile is often only part of the answer. Tell us the address once and we will work out the whole solution: which access technologies are available there, what each one would realistically deliver, and what it costs. If our own network reaches you that is usually the best option, and if it does not we have fibre, business NBN and 4G to work with instead. Either way you get an answer.

  • After working with another ISP for several months to deliver a critical internet service for a major international sporting event, we were ultimately advised that the required upgrade was unlikely to be completed prior to event week. This left us facing a significant risk to service delivery. After exhausting all other options (and a few sleepless nights) we came across Summit Internet. From the initial conversation, Allan immediately understood the severity of the situation and quickly engaged his technical delivery team. Michael “Radar” was on site within days to assess and finalise a solution. Despite challenging conditions, including large trees and other obstructions, he worked tirelessly to design and implement an alternative approach. Leveraging an adjacent building, a temporary NBN connection, and a wireless link into the comms room, the solution was delivered within 24 hours of the initial site visit. Not only was the outcome faster than expected, but it was also more cost effective and delivered higher speeds than originally promised by the previous ISP. Over the course of the event, the service handled terabytes of data and supported hundreds of concurrent users without a single speed or performance issue. I cannot thank Summit Internet, particularly Allan and Radar enough for their exceptional service, technical expertise, and commitment to delivering under pressure. Highly recommended.Read more
