Overview

YoYo Telco is a Sydney-based provider of hosted VoIP phone systems for businesses and healthcare providers, with offerings aimed at medical, specialist and dental practices as well as small businesses. Its service includes desk phone handsets, call features such as hunt groups, call queuing and voicemail to email, and onsite consultation and installation.

Businesses review their phone provider for plenty of reasons: a contract is ending, the practice or office is moving, or they want their phones and the internet connection those phones depend on to come from one carrier that deals only with businesses.

Summit offers a cloud phone system, SIP trunks and Microsoft Teams Calling, plus business nbn with a static IP, 4G backup and business mobiles, all on a network we build, own and operate. Summit Internet is an independent carrier and is not affiliated with YoYo Telco.

How Summit Helps

  • A Business-Only Carrier

Summit does not sell residential services. Every product, plan and support process is built around what businesses and practices need, and we have been doing it for 26 years.

  • A Cloud Phone System With Every Feature Included

Hosted PBX starts from $10 per user per month and includes auto attendant and IVR, ring groups, call queues, voicemail to email, call recording and mobile and desktop apps. Every feature is included, so there are no add-ons to work out per user.

  • Desk Phones Ready to Plug In

Reception desks and consulting rooms often still want a handset. We can preconfigure the handsets and ship them to you, so they work as soon as they are plugged in.

  • Phones and Internet From One Carrier

Your calls are only as good as the connection they run over. When your business nbn or Ethernet over fibre is also with Summit, voice traffic is prioritised with QoS, and internet, phones and mobiles arrive on one bill.

  • SIP Trunks for a Phone System You Own

Running your own PBX on site? SIP trunks start from 2 channels and scale up or down as your call volumes change.

  • Microsoft Teams Calling

If your team works in Teams, Teams Calling connects it to the phone network through Direct Routing, so staff make and take calls on their business numbers from Teams. You keep buying your Microsoft licences as you do now.

  • 1300 and 1800 Numbers, Fax to Email and On-Hold Messaging

Keep patients and customers reaching you on a single national number with 1300 and 1800 inbound numbers, receive faxes as email, and play on-hold messages while callers wait.

  • 4G Backup So the Phones Keep Ringing

4G Backup fails over automatically to Australia's biggest mobile network, which covers 98.8% of the population, and fails back automatically once your main connection returns.

How It Works

  1. 1 Tell us what you have now

Share how many users and numbers you have, which handsets you use and how your calls are routed today, including hunt groups, queues and after-hours messages.

  2. 2 Get a clear quote

We recommend Hosted PBX, SIP trunks or Teams Calling to suit how you work, plus internet and 4G backup if you want everything with one carrier.

  3. 3 Port your numbers

We lodge the port of your existing numbers. Keep your current YoYo Telco service active until the port completes, because only active numbers can be ported. The ACMA says single local numbers generally port in 8 to 15 days, and multi-number ports can take up to 30 days.

  4. 4 Set up and test

We configure your call flows and preconfigure your handsets, so your phones are ready before your numbers move across.

  5. 5 Cut over and cancel

Once the port completes and calls are flowing on Summit, you can arrange to close your old service with your previous provider.

Why YoYo Telco Customers Choose Summit

  • 01

A Licensed Carrier With Its Own Network

Summit holds ACMA Carrier Licence #388 and builds, owns and operates its own network, with Points of Presence in NEXTDC data centres and DDoS protection as standard.

  • 02

One Provider for Phones, Internet and Mobiles

Rather than managing your phone system, internet and mobiles separately, you can bring them together with one carrier and one bill, with voice traffic prioritised over a Summit connection.

  • 03

    Built for Businesses Only

Summit has served Australian businesses for 26 years and does not sell residential services, so practices and offices are our only customers.

  • 04

    Room to Grow

Add users to Hosted PBX, scale SIP trunk channels up or down, add 1300 numbers or business mobile plans as your business changes.

  • After working with another ISP for several months to deliver a critical internet service for a major international sporting event, we were ultimately advised that the required upgrade was unlikely to be completed prior to event week. This left us facing a significant risk to service delivery. After exhausting all other options (and a few sleepless nights) we came across Summit Internet. From the initial conversation, Allan immediately understood the severity of the situation and quickly engaged his technical delivery team. Michael “Radar” was on site within days to assess and finalise a solution. Despite challenging conditions, including large trees and other obstructions, he worked tirelessly to design and implement an alternative approach. Leveraging an adjacent building, a temporary NBN connection, and a wireless link into the comms room, the solution was delivered within 24 hours of the initial site visit. Not only was the outcome faster than expected, but it was also more cost effective and delivered higher speeds than originally promised by the previous ISP. Over the course of the event, the service handled terabytes of data and supported hundreds of concurrent users without a single speed or performance issue. I cannot thank Summit Internet, particularly Allan and Radar enough for their exceptional service, technical expertise, and commitment to delivering under pressure. Highly recommended.Read more

  • Summit internet recently set my small business up with a local land line number and a soft phone that runs off an app on my mobile - getting my personal phone number off the internet and being able to distinguish between business and personal calls is a game changer. Whole process took less than a week, and is super cost effective. Highly recommend.Read more

Frequently asked questions

Is Summit Internet part of YoYo Telco?
No. Summit Internet is an independent Australian carrier holding ACMA Carrier Licence #388. We are not affiliated with YoYo Telco.
Why switch if my YoYo Telco service is working?
If your current service does everything you need, there may be no reason to switch. Businesses usually talk to us when a contract is ending, when they are moving premises, or when they want their phones, internet and mobiles from one business-only carrier.
Will I have to pay to break my contract?
That depends on the terms of your agreement with YoYo Telco. Check your contract end date and any exit or handset terms, and we can time your switch to line up with the end of your contract.
Can I keep my phone numbers?
Yes, existing numbers can generally be ported to Summit. Keep your current service active until the port completes, because only active numbers can be ported. The ACMA says single local numbers generally port in 8 to 15 days, and multi-number ports can take up to 30 days.
Can I keep my existing desk phones?
It depends on the handset model and whether it can be configured for another provider. Tell us which phones you have and we will let you know, or we can preconfigure new handsets and ship them to you.
Do I need to change my internet provider too?
No. Our phone services work over your existing internet connection. If you also move your internet to Summit, voice traffic is prioritised with QoS and everything is on one bill.
Can my after-hours messages, queues and hunt groups be set up the same way?
Hosted PBX includes auto attendant and IVR, ring groups, call queues, voicemail to email and call recording, so we can set up your call flows to match how your practice or office works today.
Does Summit work with Microsoft Teams?
Yes. Summit provides Teams Calling through Direct Routing. We do not resell Microsoft licences, so you keep buying those as you do now.
Is Summit available outside New South Wales?
Yes. Summit's phone services, business nbn and mobile plans are available to Australian businesses nationally.
