Overview

yourTelco is an Adelaide-based telecommunications business that focuses on small to medium businesses in Adelaide and the surrounding areas. It sells business VoIP, hosted and on-premise phone systems including NEC and 8x8, video conferencing fit-outs for Microsoft Teams and Zoom, and business nbn and data services.

Businesses review their phone provider for plenty of reasons: a contract coming to an end, an office move, a phone system due for replacement, or wanting internet and phones from one carrier on one bill. Some simply want a provider that only serves businesses.

Summit Internet is a business-only carrier that builds, owns and operates its own network. We offer a Hosted PBX cloud phone system from $10 per user per month with every feature included, SIP trunks for businesses keeping an existing phone system, and Microsoft Teams Calling via Direct Routing. Pair them with business nbn with a static IP included and your voice traffic is prioritised with QoS.

Summit Internet is an independent carrier and is not affiliated with yourTelco.

How Summit Helps

  • A cloud phone system with everything included

Summit's Hosted PBX starts from $10 per user per month, with auto attendant, ring groups, call queues, voicemail to email, call recording and mobile and desktop apps all included. There are no feature tiers to work through.

  • SIP trunks for the phone system you already own

If your business has invested in an on-premise phone system, you do not need to replace it to change provider. Summit SIP trunks start from 2 channels and scale up or down as your team changes.

  • Calling inside Microsoft Teams

If your staff already live in Teams, Teams Calling via Direct Routing lets them make and take calls on your business numbers from Teams. Summit does not resell Microsoft licences, so you keep your existing Microsoft arrangement.

  • Keep your business numbers

We port your existing numbers to Summit, including 1300 and 1800 inbound numbers. Your customers keep calling the same numbers they always have.

  • Handsets ready to plug in

Handsets can be preconfigured and shipped, so your team can plug them in and start taking calls.

  • Voice prioritised on Summit internet

When your business nbn is also Summit's, voice traffic is prioritised with QoS. Business nbn includes a static IP, with speeds up to 2000/500 Mbps on full-fibre nbn.

  • Stay online if the line drops

4G Backup fails over automatically to Australia's biggest mobile network, with 98.8% population coverage, and fails back automatically when your main service returns.

  • One bill for internet, phones and mobile

Internet, phones and business mobile SIM plans come on one Summit bill, from one carrier.

How It Works

  1. 1 Tell us what you use today

Share your current phone setup, number of users, numbers and any internet services, and we will recommend Hosted PBX, SIP trunks or Teams Calling.

  2. 2 Get a clear quote

We put the proposal in writing so you can compare it against your current agreement and plan the switch around your contract end date.

  3. 3 Port your numbers

We lodge the port with your current provider. Keep your yourTelco service active until the port completes, because only active numbers can be ported. The ACMA says single local numbers generally port in 8 to 15 days, and multi-number ports can take up to 30 days.

  4. 4 Set up and test

Handsets are preconfigured and shipped, call flows are built, and everything is tested before your numbers move.

  5. 5 Go live, then cancel

Once your numbers are working on Summit, you can cancel the old services with yourTelco.

  • After working with another ISP for several months to deliver a critical internet service for a major international sporting event, we were ultimately advised that the required upgrade was unlikely to be completed prior to event week. This left us facing a significant risk to service delivery. After exhausting all other options (and a few sleepless nights) we came across Summit Internet. From the initial conversation, Allan immediately understood the severity of the situation and quickly engaged his technical delivery team. Michael “Radar” was on site within days to assess and finalise a solution. Despite challenging conditions, including large trees and other obstructions, he worked tirelessly to design and implement an alternative approach. Leveraging an adjacent building, a temporary NBN connection, and a wireless link into the comms room, the solution was delivered within 24 hours of the initial site visit. Not only was the outcome faster than expected, but it was also more cost effective and delivered higher speeds than originally promised by the previous ISP. Over the course of the event, the service handled terabytes of data and supported hundreds of concurrent users without a single speed or performance issue. I cannot thank Summit Internet, particularly Allan and Radar enough for their exceptional service, technical expertise, and commitment to delivering under pressure. Highly recommended.Read more

  • Summit internet recently set my small business up with a local land line number and a soft phone that runs off an app on my mobile - getting my personal phone number off the internet and being able to distinguish between business and personal calls is a game changer. Whole process took less than a week, and is super cost effective. Highly recommend.Read more

Frequently asked questions

Is Summit Internet part of yourTelco?
No. Summit Internet is an independent Australian carrier holding ACMA Carrier Licence #388. We are not affiliated with yourTelco.
Why switch if my yourTelco service is working?
If your current service does everything your business needs, there may be no reason to switch. Businesses usually look at Summit when a contract is ending, when they are moving office or replacing a phone system, or when they want internet, phones and mobile from one carrier.
Will I have to pay to break my contract?
That depends on your agreement with yourTelco. Check your contract terms, and if there is a fixed term, we can plan the switch to line up with your contract end date.
Can I keep my phone numbers?
Yes, existing numbers can be ported to Summit, including 1300 and 1800 numbers. Keep your current service active until the port completes, because only active numbers can be ported.
How long does porting take?
The ACMA says single local numbers generally port in 8 to 15 days, and multi-number ports can take up to 30 days.
Can I keep my existing phone system?
In many cases, yes. Summit SIP trunks connect to compatible on-premise phone systems, starting from 2 channels. If you would rather move to the cloud, our Hosted PBX is the alternative.
Can my team make calls from Microsoft Teams?
Yes. Summit offers Teams Calling via Direct Routing. We do not resell Microsoft licences, so you keep your current Microsoft licensing.
Do I have to move my internet to Summit too?
No. Summit phone services work over other internet connections. If your internet is also Summit's, voice traffic is prioritised and everything comes on one bill.
Does Summit only serve Adelaide?
Summit serves Australian businesses nationally with business nbn and voice services. Our fixed wireless network is available in Melbourne and regional Victoria only.
