Overview

Voxtra Telecom sells business nbn plans with a static IP, cloud-based business phone systems, SIM-only mobile plans and bundles that put internet, mobile and voice on a single bill. It also sells home internet and mobile plans alongside its business range.

Businesses review their provider for plenty of ordinary reasons: a contract is coming to an end, the office is moving, the team has grown, or they would rather deal with a provider that only serves businesses. If your internet and phones are tied together, it is worth planning both at once so nothing drops out during the move.

Summit Internet has been connecting Australian businesses for 26 years. We offer business nbn with a static IP included, a Hosted PBX cloud phone system from $10 per user per month, SIP trunks for existing phone systems and business mobile SIM plans, all on one bill.

Summit Internet is an independent carrier and is not affiliated with Voxtra Telecom.

How Summit Helps

  • Business nbn with a static IP included

Our business nbn plans include a static IP as standard, with speeds up to 2000/500 Mbps on full-fibre nbn. It is available nationally, so it suits single offices and multi-site businesses alike.

  • A cloud phone system with every feature included

Hosted PBX starts from $10 per user per month and includes auto attendant, ring groups, call queues, voicemail to email, call recording and mobile and desktop apps. There are no feature tiers to work through.

  • Handsets ready to plug in

If you need new desk phones, we can preconfigure them and ship them to your office. Your team plugs them in and starts taking calls.

  • Keep your existing numbers

We port your existing business numbers to Summit, so customers keep calling the numbers they already know. Your 1300 and 1800 numbers can come across too.

  • Calls prioritised on your Summit connection

When your internet is also with Summit, voice traffic is prioritised on the connection, so a large download does not get in the way of a phone call.

  • Business mobile on the same bill

Our business mobile SIM plans sit on the same bill as your internet and phones, which keeps admin simple for the person who pays the accounts.

  • 4G Backup for when the fixed line drops

4G Backup fails over automatically to Australia's biggest mobile network, with 98.8% population coverage, and fails back automatically once your main service returns.

  • Our own network, with DDoS protection

Summit builds, owns and operates its own network, with Points of Presence in NEXTDC data centres. DDoS protection comes as standard.

How It Works

  1. 1 Tell us what you have

Let us know your current internet, phone numbers, handsets and mobile services, plus when your agreement ends. We will put together a quote to match.

  2. 2 Order your new services

We arrange your business nbn, phone system and SIMs, and preconfigure and ship handsets if you need them.

  3. 3 Keep your old service active

Leave your existing phone service connected until the port completes, because only active numbers can be ported. Cancelling early can mean losing the numbers.

  4. 4 Port your numbers

We lodge the port. The ACMA says single local numbers generally port in 8 to 15 days, and multi-number ports can take up to 30 days.

  5. 5 Go live and tidy up

Once your numbers are working on Summit, you can arrange to close your remaining services with your previous provider.

  • After working with another ISP for several months to deliver a critical internet service for a major international sporting event, we were ultimately advised that the required upgrade was unlikely to be completed prior to event week. This left us facing a significant risk to service delivery. After exhausting all other options (and a few sleepless nights) we came across Summit Internet. From the initial conversation, Allan immediately understood the severity of the situation and quickly engaged his technical delivery team. Michael “Radar” was on site within days to assess and finalise a solution. Despite challenging conditions, including large trees and other obstructions, he worked tirelessly to design and implement an alternative approach. Leveraging an adjacent building, a temporary NBN connection, and a wireless link into the comms room, the solution was delivered within 24 hours of the initial site visit. Not only was the outcome faster than expected, but it was also more cost effective and delivered higher speeds than originally promised by the previous ISP. Over the course of the event, the service handled terabytes of data and supported hundreds of concurrent users without a single speed or performance issue. I cannot thank Summit Internet, particularly Allan and Radar enough for their exceptional service, technical expertise, and commitment to delivering under pressure. Highly recommended.Read more

  • Summit internet recently set my small business up with a local land line number and a soft phone that runs off an app on my mobile - getting my personal phone number off the internet and being able to distinguish between business and personal calls is a game changer. Whole process took less than a week, and is super cost effective. Highly recommend.Read more

Frequently asked questions

Is Summit Internet part of Voxtra Telecom?
No. Summit Internet is an independent Australian carrier holding ACMA Carrier Licence #388. We are not affiliated with Voxtra Telecom in any way.
Why switch if my Voxtra Telecom service is working?
If your current services do everything your business needs, there may be no reason to change. Businesses usually look around when a contract is ending, they are moving office, they want internet and phones managed by one business-only carrier, or they need features they do not have today.
Will I have to pay to break my contract?
That depends on your agreement with your current provider. Check your contract terms, and if there is an exit fee, time the switch to line up with the end of your contract.
Can I keep my phone numbers?
Yes, existing numbers can be ported to Summit. Keep your current service active until the port is complete, because only active numbers can be ported. The ACMA says single local numbers generally port in 8 to 15 days and multi-number ports can take up to 30 days.
Do you offer business nbn with a static IP?
Yes. A static IP is included with Summit business nbn, with speeds up to 2000/500 Mbps on full-fibre nbn.
Can I have internet, phones and mobile on one bill?
Yes. Summit internet, phone services and business mobile SIM plans can all sit on the one bill.
Can I use Microsoft Teams for calls?
Yes. We connect Teams Calling through Direct Routing. Summit does not resell Microsoft licences, so you keep those with your existing Microsoft supplier.
Do you sell residential plans?
No. Summit is business-only and does not sell residential services.
