Overview

Tronic Networks Pty Ltd, which trades as Tronic, Tronic Cloud and Tronic Communications, is a Melbourne-based provider that sells business phone systems and services. Its range includes 3CX and Yeastar P-Series phone systems, a hosted phone system under the Tronic Cloud name, SIP trunks, 1300 and 1800 numbers, SMS messaging, AI voice agents, handsets and headsets, and an internet service, Tronic Internet by Aussie Broadband.

Businesses review their phone provider for plenty of reasons: an agreement is ending, the team is moving office, the old phone system is due for replacement, or they want their phones and the internet connection those phones depend on to come from one carrier that deals only with businesses.

Summit offers SIP trunks for an existing 3CX, Yeastar or other phone system, a cloud phone system if you would rather not run your own, and Microsoft Teams Calling, plus business nbn with a static IP, 4G backup and business mobiles, all on a network we build, own and operate. Summit Internet is an independent carrier and is not affiliated with Tronic Networks.

How Summit Helps

  • A Business-Only Carrier

Summit does not sell residential services. Every product, plan and support process is built around what businesses need, and we have been doing it for 26 years.

  • SIP Trunks for the Phone System You Already Have

If your business runs a 3CX, Yeastar or other IP phone system, you can keep it and connect it to Summit SIP trunks. Start from 2 channels and scale up or down as your call volume changes.

  • A Cloud Phone System With Every Feature Included

If you would rather not look after a phone system at all, Summit Hosted PBX starts from $10 per user per month with every feature included: auto attendant, ring groups, call queues, voicemail to email, call recording and mobile and desktop apps.

  • Handsets Ready to Plug In

For Hosted PBX customers we can preconfigure handsets and ship them to your office, so your team plugs them in and starts taking calls.

  • Your Inbound Numbers Come Too

Summit provides 1300 and 1800 numbers, fax to email and on-hold messaging, so the numbers your customers already know can move with the rest of your phones.

  • Voice and Internet From One Carrier

When your internet connection is also Summit's, voice traffic is prioritised across it. Business nbn comes with a static IP included, up to 2000/500 Mbps on full-fibre nbn, and internet, phones and mobile sit on one bill.

  • Backup That Keeps Calls Flowing

4G Backup fails over automatically to Australia's biggest mobile network, with 98.8% population coverage, and fails back automatically when your main service returns.

  • Our Own Network

Summit builds, owns and operates its network, with Points of Presence in NEXTDC data centres and DDoS protection as standard.

How It Works

  1. 1 Talk to us about your setup

Tell us whether you run 3CX, Yeastar, a hosted phone system or another platform, how many lines or users you need, and which numbers you use today, including any 1300 or 1800 numbers.

  2. 2 Choose your path

Keep your existing phone system and connect it to Summit SIP trunks, or move to Summit Hosted PBX. We can add business nbn, 4G Backup and mobiles to the same quote.

  3. 3 Port your numbers

We lodge the port of your existing numbers. Keep your current service active until the port completes, because only active numbers can be ported. The ACMA says a single local number generally ports in 8 to 15 days, and ports involving multiple numbers can take up to 30 days.

  4. 4 Test and go live

We configure your trunks or phone system, test inbound and outbound calling, and cut over once your numbers are live with Summit.

  5. 5 Cancel the old service

Once everything is working on Summit, arrange the cancellation of your previous services in line with your agreement.

  • After working with another ISP for several months to deliver a critical internet service for a major international sporting event, we were ultimately advised that the required upgrade was unlikely to be completed prior to event week. This left us facing a significant risk to service delivery. After exhausting all other options (and a few sleepless nights) we came across Summit Internet. From the initial conversation, Allan immediately understood the severity of the situation and quickly engaged his technical delivery team. Michael “Radar” was on site within days to assess and finalise a solution. Despite challenging conditions, including large trees and other obstructions, he worked tirelessly to design and implement an alternative approach. Leveraging an adjacent building, a temporary NBN connection, and a wireless link into the comms room, the solution was delivered within 24 hours of the initial site visit. Not only was the outcome faster than expected, but it was also more cost effective and delivered higher speeds than originally promised by the previous ISP. Over the course of the event, the service handled terabytes of data and supported hundreds of concurrent users without a single speed or performance issue. I cannot thank Summit Internet, particularly Allan and Radar enough for their exceptional service, technical expertise, and commitment to delivering under pressure. Highly recommended.Read more

No. Summit Internet is an independent Australian carrier holding ACMA Carrier Licence #388. We are not affiliated with Tronic Networks.
Why switch if my Tronic Networks service is working?
If your current setup does everything your business needs, there may be no reason to change. Businesses usually look at Summit when an agreement is ending, they are moving office, their phone system is due for replacement, or they want phones and internet from one business-only carrier.
Will I have to pay to break my contract?
That depends on your agreement with your current provider. Check your terms before you switch, and if you can, time the move to the end of your contract.
Can I keep my phone numbers?
Yes, existing numbers can generally be ported to Summit, including 1300 and 1800 numbers. Keep your current service active until the port completes, because only active numbers can be ported.
Can I keep my 3CX or Yeastar phone system?
Yes. Summit SIP trunks connect to existing IP phone systems such as 3CX and Yeastar. Tell us what you run and we will confirm the setup.
How many SIP channels can I start with?

What does Summit Hosted PBX include?
Hosted PBX starts from $10 per user per month with every feature included: auto attendant, ring groups, call queues, voicemail to email, call recording and mobile and desktop apps.
Do I need Summit internet to use Summit phones?
No, but when your internet connection is also Summit's, voice traffic is prioritised across it, and internet, phones and mobile are on one bill.
Can Summit connect Microsoft Teams to the phone network?
Yes. Summit provides Microsoft Teams Calling via Direct Routing. We do not resell Microsoft licences, so you keep those with your existing Microsoft supplier.
