Overview

TelcoHQ is an Australian business solutions provider established in 2018, with offices in Bondi Junction and on the Central Coast in New South Wales. It sells business nbn, business fibre, SIP trunks, 1300 and 1800 numbers, 4G mobile broadband, iPECS and cloud PBX phone systems, along with other business services such as EFTPOS, social Wi-Fi and digital signage.

Businesses review their provider for ordinary reasons: a contract is ending, they are moving office, or they want internet and phones from one carrier that runs its own network and deals only with businesses.

Summit offers business nbn with a static IP, Ethernet over fibre, fixed wireless across Melbourne and regional Victoria, a cloud phone system, SIP trunks and Microsoft Teams Calling, all on a network we build, own and operate. Summit Internet is an independent carrier and is not affiliated with TelcoHQ.

How Summit Helps

  • A Business-Only Carrier

Summit does not sell residential services. Businesses are our only customers, and we have been serving them for 26 years.

  • Business nbn With a Static IP

Business nbn comes with a static IP included, with speeds up to 2000/500 Mbps on full-fibre nbn, available to Australian businesses nationally.

  • Ethernet Over Fibre for Dedicated Capacity

If your business runs on fibre today, Ethernet over fibre gives your site a dedicated connection on our own network, with DDoS protection as standard.

  • A Cloud Phone System With Every Feature Included

Moving from a cloud PBX or an on-site phone system? Hosted PBX starts from $10 per user per month and includes auto attendant, ring groups, call queues, voicemail to email, call recording and mobile and desktop apps. We can preconfigure your handsets and ship them to you.

  • SIP Trunks for the Phone System You Already Own

Keeping your existing PBX? SIP trunks start from 2 channels and scale up or down as your call volumes change.

  • Keep Your 1300 and 1800 Numbers

Bring your 1300 and 1800 numbers across, along with fax to email and on-hold messaging, and make calls in Microsoft Teams through Direct Routing if you prefer.

  • Voice Prioritised on Our Network

When your internet connection is also Summit's, voice traffic is prioritised with QoS, so calls are not competing with downloads and cloud backups.

  • Backup That Fails Over Automatically

4G Backup switches to Australia's biggest mobile network (98.8% population coverage) if your primary link drops, and fails back automatically when it returns. For a mobile data service with a fixed address, we also offer 4G Static IP.

How It Works

  1. 1 Tell us what you have

Share your current internet services, phone system, phone numbers and contract end dates, and we will map out the equivalent Summit services.

  2. 2 Get a clear quote

We recommend the right connection, phone system or SIP trunks for each site and put it in writing.

  3. 3 Install and test

We install your Summit internet and set up your phone system while your existing services keep running.

  4. 4 Port your numbers

We lodge the port for your existing numbers. Keep your old service active until the port completes, because only active numbers can be ported. The ACMA says single local numbers generally port in 8 to 15 days, and multi-number ports can take up to 30 days.

  5. 5 Cancel the old services

Once your numbers have moved and everything is working, you cancel your previous services.

  • After working with another ISP for several months to deliver a critical internet service for a major international sporting event, we were ultimately advised that the required upgrade was unlikely to be completed prior to event week. This left us facing a significant risk to service delivery. After exhausting all other options (and a few sleepless nights) we came across Summit Internet. From the initial conversation, Allan immediately understood the severity of the situation and quickly engaged his technical delivery team. Michael “Radar” was on site within days to assess and finalise a solution. Despite challenging conditions, including large trees and other obstructions, he worked tirelessly to design and implement an alternative approach. Leveraging an adjacent building, a temporary NBN connection, and a wireless link into the comms room, the solution was delivered within 24 hours of the initial site visit. Not only was the outcome faster than expected, but it was also more cost effective and delivered higher speeds than originally promised by the previous ISP. Over the course of the event, the service handled terabytes of data and supported hundreds of concurrent users without a single speed or performance issue. I cannot thank Summit Internet, particularly Allan and Radar enough for their exceptional service, technical expertise, and commitment to delivering under pressure. Highly recommended.Read more

  • Summit internet recently set my small business up with a local land line number and a soft phone that runs off an app on my mobile - getting my personal phone number off the internet and being able to distinguish between business and personal calls is a game changer. Whole process took less than a week, and is super cost effective. Highly recommend.Read more

Frequently asked questions

Is Summit Internet part of TelcoHQ?
No. Summit Internet is an independent Australian carrier (ACMA Carrier Licence #388) and is not affiliated with TelcoHQ. We build, own and operate our own network.
Why switch if my TelcoHQ service is working?
If your current services do everything your business needs, there may be no reason to change. Businesses usually look at Summit when a contract is ending, when they are moving office, or when they want internet and phones from one carrier that runs its own network and serves only businesses.
Will I have to pay to break my contract?
That depends on the terms of your agreement with TelcoHQ. Check your contract end date and any early termination terms, and where possible time your switch to line up with the end of the contract.
Can I keep my phone numbers?
Yes, existing numbers, including 1300 and 1800 numbers, can be ported to Summit. Keep your current service active until the port completes, because only active numbers can be ported. The ACMA says single local numbers generally port in 8 to 15 days, and multi-number ports can take up to 30 days.
Can I keep my existing phone system?
If your phone system supports SIP, you can connect it to Summit SIP trunks, starting from 2 channels. If you would rather move to the cloud, our Hosted PBX includes every feature, and we can preconfigure and ship your handsets.
Do you offer business nbn outside Victoria?
Yes. Business nbn is available nationally and includes a static IP. Our fixed wireless network covers Melbourne and regional Victoria only.
Can I use Microsoft Teams for calls?
Yes. We connect Teams to the phone network through Direct Routing. Summit does not resell Microsoft licences, so you keep your existing Microsoft 365 arrangements.
Will my phones and internet be on one bill?
Yes. Your internet, phones and business mobile services can all sit on one Summit bill, and when your internet is also Summit's, voice traffic is prioritised on our network.
