Overview
TelcoCentric is a 3CX partner with offices in Adelaide and Melbourne. It sells business phone systems, including hosted 3CX, Microsoft Teams Direct Routing, numbers and SIP trunks and e-Fax, along with business nbn, fixed fibre, 4G and 5G backup, business mobile plans and managed IT services.
Businesses review their phone provider for plenty of reasons: an agreement is ending, the team is moving office, or they want their phones and the internet connection those phones depend on to come from one carrier that deals only with businesses.
Summit offers a cloud phone system, SIP trunks and Microsoft Teams Calling, plus business nbn with a static IP, 4G backup and business mobiles, all on a network we build, own and operate. Summit Internet is an independent carrier and is not affiliated with TelcoCentric.
How Summit Helps
-
A Business-Only Carrier
Summit does not sell residential services. We work only with businesses, and we have been doing it for 26 years.
-
A Cloud Phone System With Every Feature Included
Hosted PBX starts from $10 per user per month and includes auto attendant and IVR, ring groups, call queues, voicemail to email, call recording and mobile and desktop apps. Every feature is included, so there are no add-ons to work out per user.
-
Desk Phones Ready to Plug In
If your team uses handsets today, we can preconfigure new handsets and ship them to you, so they work as soon as they are plugged in.
-
Microsoft Teams Calling Through Direct Routing
If your staff already take calls in Teams, Teams Calling connects Teams to the phone network through Direct Routing, so they keep making and taking calls on their business numbers from Teams. You keep buying your Microsoft licences as you do now.
-
SIP Trunks for a Phone System You Manage
If you would rather keep running your own phone system, SIP trunks start from 2 channels and scale up or down as your call volumes change.
-
Voice Prioritised on Your Own Carrier's Network
When your internet connection is also Summit's, voice traffic is prioritised with QoS. Business nbn comes with a static IP included, with speeds up to 2000/500 Mbps on full-fibre nbn, and Ethernet over fibre is also available. Our network has Points of Presence in NEXTDC data centres with DDoS protection as standard.
-
4G Backup for When the Line Drops
A cloud phone system needs a working connection. 4G Backup fails over automatically to Australia's biggest mobile network, with 98.8% population coverage, and fails back automatically when your main service returns.
-
Inbound Numbers, Fax to Email, Mobiles and One Bill
Add 1300 and 1800 numbers, fax to email, on-hold messaging and business mobile SIM plans. Internet, phones and mobile arrive on one bill.
How It Works
- 1 Tell us how you use your phones
Tell us how you use your phones
List your numbers, users, call flows and queues, whether you use desk phones, apps or Teams, and when your TelcoCentric agreement ends.
- 2 Get a quote
Get a quote
We recommend the right phone setup, whether Hosted PBX, Teams Calling or SIP trunks, plus internet and backup if you want them, and send you a written quote.
- 3 Set up your phone system
Set up your phone system
We build your auto attendant, ring groups and queues to match how your team works, and preconfigure and ship handsets if you need them.
- 4 Port your numbers
Port your numbers
We port your existing numbers across. Keep your TelcoCentric service active until the port completes, because only active numbers can be ported. The ACMA says single local numbers generally port in 8 to 15 days, and multi-number ports can take up to 30 days.
- 5 Cancel once you are live
Cancel once you are live
When your numbers have moved and calls are working, you cancel the old service.

Why TelcoCentric Customers Choose Summit
- 01
Phones and Internet From One Carrier
A cloud phone system is only as good as the connection under it. With Summit, the phone system, the internet connection and the backup all come from one carrier, and voice traffic is prioritised with QoS when the connection is also Summit's.
- 02
A Licensed Australian Carrier
Summit holds ACMA Carrier Licence #388 and has been connecting Australian businesses since August 2000. We build, own and operate our own network.
- 03
Every Feature, One Price Per User
Hosted PBX starts from $10 per user per month with every feature included, so adding a call queue or call recording does not change your plan.
- 04

We recently moved our dental practice over to Summit for phone services, and the experience has been excellent from start to finish. The team has been responsive, professional, and incredibly helpful throughout the entire setup process. The transition was smooth, any issues were addressed promptly, and communication was always clear and efficient. Reliable phones and internet are essential for a busy practice like ours, and Summit has delivered exactly that. A special thank you to Michael for his patience and ongoing assistance during the transition. Highly recommend Summit to any business looking for reliable service and great customer support.Read more

After working with another ISP for several months to deliver a critical internet service for a major international sporting event, we were ultimately advised that the required upgrade was unlikely to be completed prior to event week. This left us facing a significant risk to service delivery. After exhausting all other options (and a few sleepless nights) we came across Summit Internet. From the initial conversation, Allan immediately understood the severity of the situation and quickly engaged his technical delivery team. Michael “Radar” was on site within days to assess and finalise a solution. Despite challenging conditions, including large trees and other obstructions, he worked tirelessly to design and implement an alternative approach. Leveraging an adjacent building, a temporary NBN connection, and a wireless link into the comms room, the solution was delivered within 24 hours of the initial site visit. Not only was the outcome faster than expected, but it was also more cost effective and delivered higher speeds than originally promised by the previous ISP. Over the course of the event, the service handled terabytes of data and supported hundreds of concurrent users without a single speed or performance issue. I cannot thank Summit Internet, particularly Allan and Radar enough for their exceptional service, technical expertise, and commitment to delivering under pressure. Highly recommended.Read more

Summit internet recently set my small business up with a local land line number and a soft phone that runs off an app on my mobile - getting my personal phone number off the internet and being able to distinguish between business and personal calls is a game changer. Whole process took less than a week, and is super cost effective. Highly recommend.Read more
