The Connectivity Challenge

Fixed wireless was a smart choice. It got your business online without waiting for a fibre build or relying on tired copper in the street. But a connection that suited your business a few years ago is not always the one that suits it now.

More staff on video calls, more files living in the cloud, phones running over the internet, EFTPOS that cannot afford to drop out. As a business grows, the questions change: How fast are our uploads? Who do we call when it goes down, and how quickly do they act? Can this connection grow with us?

Summit has spent more than 26 years building a fixed wireless network that answers those questions for businesses, and only for businesses. If you are reviewing your Swoop service, at contract end or because it is simply not keeping up, it is worth comparing what a business-only carrier can offer.

How Summit Helps

  • A Network With No Residential Traffic

Summit does not sell home internet. Every customer on our network is a business, so capacity is planned around office hours rather than evening streaming, and your connection is never sharing the load with households.

  • Symmetric Speeds That Scale to 10 Gbps

Upload speed is what makes cloud backups, video meetings and VoIP work properly. Summit offers symmetric options from 10 Mbps up to 10 Gbps, so you can match uploads to downloads and keep scaling without changing provider.

  • Installed in 10 Business Days, Guaranteed

Your service is live within 10 business days of order, or your first month is free. No open-ended waiting, no vague install windows.

  • A Licensed Carrier, Not a Reseller

Summit holds ACMA Carrier Licence #388. We own the towers, the backhaul and the core network, with Points of Presence in NEXTDC data centres. One company is responsible for your connection from end to end.

  • Internet and Phones on One Network

Our Hosted PBX and SIP trunks run over the same network as your internet, so call quality is managed end to end. We port your existing numbers across at no disruption to your callers.

  • Backup That Keeps You Trading

Add automatic 4G failover and your tills, cloud apps and phones keep running even if your primary link is interrupted.

  • DDoS Protection as Standard

Our network includes DDoS protection, so a volumetric attack is our problem to absorb, not yours.

How It Works

  1. 1 Check Your Address

Use our coverage checker or call 1300 049 749. We will confirm whether our network reaches your premises and what speeds are available.

  2. 2 Get a Clear Quote

Tell us what you use your connection for and when your current contract ends. We will recommend a speed and price it for your address.

  3. 3 Survey and Install

Our technicians confirm line of sight and install a small antenna on your roof. We supply and own the equipment, so there is nothing to buy.

  4. 4 Go Live, Then Cancel

We test your Summit connection while your current service is still running. Once you are happy, you cancel the old one. No gap in service.

  • After working with another ISP for several months to deliver a critical internet service for a major international sporting event, we were ultimately advised that the required upgrade was unlikely to be completed prior to event week. This left us facing a significant risk to service delivery. After exhausting all other options (and a few sleepless nights) we came across Summit Internet. From the initial conversation, Allan immediately understood the severity of the situation and quickly engaged his technical delivery team. Michael “Radar” was on site within days to assess and finalise a solution. Despite challenging conditions, including large trees and other obstructions, he worked tirelessly to design and implement an alternative approach. Leveraging an adjacent building, a temporary NBN connection, and a wireless link into the comms room, the solution was delivered within 24 hours of the initial site visit. Not only was the outcome faster than expected, but it was also more cost effective and delivered higher speeds than originally promised by the previous ISP. Over the course of the event, the service handled terabytes of data and supported hundreds of concurrent users without a single speed or performance issue. I cannot thank Summit Internet, particularly Allan and Radar enough for their exceptional service, technical expertise, and commitment to delivering under pressure. Highly recommended.Read more

  • Summit internet recently set my small business up with a local land line number and a soft phone that runs off an app on my mobile - getting my personal phone number off the internet and being able to distinguish between business and personal calls is a game changer. Whole process took less than a week, and is super cost effective. Highly recommend.Read more

Frequently asked questions

Is Summit Internet part of Swoop?
No. Summit Internet is an independent Australian carrier (ACMA Carrier Licence #388) and is not affiliated with Swoop. We run our own fixed wireless network and have done since August 2000.
Why switch if my Swoop fixed wireless is working?
If it does everything your business needs, there may be no reason to. Businesses usually move to Summit when they need faster or symmetric uploads, want a network that carries business customers only, or want internet and phones from one carrier. A quick quote tells you whether it is worth it.
Will I have to pay to break my current contract?
That depends on your agreement with your current provider, so check your contract terms first. Many businesses time the switch to their contract end date, and we can schedule your install to suit.
Will there be downtime when I switch?
There should not be. We install and test your Summit connection while your existing service is still active, and you cancel the old service only once the new one is live.
How quickly can you connect my business?
In as little as 10 business days from order. If we do not meet that timeframe, your first month is free.
Do you connect homes?
No. Summit's network is business-only. Residential customers are best served by a home internet provider.
Can I keep my phone numbers?
Yes. We port your existing numbers to a Summit Hosted PBX or SIP trunk, so your callers notice no change.
Is Summit's network available at my address?
Summit covers 500+ suburbs across Melbourne and regional Victoria. Use our coverage checker or call 1300 049 749. If fixed wireless cannot reach you, we will recommend business fibre, business NBN or 4G instead.
What speeds can I get?
From 10 Mbps up to 10 Gbps depending on your plan and location, with symmetric options so uploads can match downloads.
