Overview

Superloop is an ASX-listed Australian telco founded in 2014. Alongside its residential plans, it sells business fibre internet plans with a static IP, enterprise internet, managed routers and managed SD-WAN, dark fibre and IP transit, business VoIP and its TotalTalk phone system. Over the years it has grown through acquisitions including BigAir in 2016, Exetel in 2021 and Acurus in 2022.

Plenty of businesses review their provider at some point, even when nothing is wrong. A contract is ending, the office is moving, a second site is opening, or the business wants its internet, phones and backup from one carrier that works only with businesses.

Summit offers business nbn with a static IP included, Ethernet over fibre, 4G backup, and in Melbourne and regional Victoria our own fixed wireless network. Phones, including a Hosted PBX and SIP trunks, run on the same connection.

Summit Internet is an independent carrier and is not affiliated with Superloop or Superloop Business.

How Summit Helps

  • Business Only, Every Customer

Summit does not sell residential services. Every customer on our network is a business.

  • Business nbn With a Static IP Included

Our business nbn plans are available nationally and include a static IP as standard. On full-fibre nbn, speeds go up to 2000/500 Mbps.

  • Ethernet Over Fibre for Larger Sites

If your business has outgrown a standard nbn plan, Ethernet over fibre gives you a business-grade connection on Summit's network.

  • Fixed Wireless in Melbourne and Regional Victoria

Across 500+ suburbs, our own fixed wireless network delivers symmetric speeds from 10 Mbps up to 10 Gbps, installed in 10 business days or your first month is free. Check your coverage.

  • Automatic 4G Backup

4G Backup fails over automatically to Australia's biggest mobile network, with 98.8% population coverage, and fails back once your main link returns.

  • Our Own Network, DDoS Protection Included

Summit holds ACMA Carrier Licence #388 and builds, owns and operates its network, with Points of Presence in NEXTDC data centres. DDoS protection is standard.

  • Phones on the Same Connection

Move your business phones to a Hosted PBX from $10 per user per month, connect an existing system with SIP trunks, or use Microsoft Teams Calling. Voice traffic is prioritised when your internet is also Summit's.

  • One Bill for Internet, Phones and Mobile

Add business mobile SIM plans and keep internet, phones and mobile on one invoice from one carrier.

How It Works

  1. 1 Tell us what you have

Let us know which services you use today, such as business internet, a phone system or SD-WAN across sites, and when your current agreement ends.

  2. 2 Get a clear quote

We recommend the right connection for each site, whether business nbn, Ethernet over fibre or fixed wireless, plus any backup and phones you need.

  3. 3 Schedule the install

We line up installation with your contract end date where we can, so you are not paying twice for longer than needed.

  4. 4 Go live and test

Your Summit service is installed and tested while your existing service keeps running.

  5. 5 Cancel the old service

Once you are happy everything is working, you cancel with your previous provider. If you are moving phone numbers, keep the old service active until the port completes, because only active numbers can be ported.

  • After working with another ISP for several months to deliver a critical internet service for a major international sporting event, we were ultimately advised that the required upgrade was unlikely to be completed prior to event week. This left us facing a significant risk to service delivery. After exhausting all other options (and a few sleepless nights) we came across Summit Internet. From the initial conversation, Allan immediately understood the severity of the situation and quickly engaged his technical delivery team. Michael “Radar” was on site within days to assess and finalise a solution. Despite challenging conditions, including large trees and other obstructions, he worked tirelessly to design and implement an alternative approach. Leveraging an adjacent building, a temporary NBN connection, and a wireless link into the comms room, the solution was delivered within 24 hours of the initial site visit. Not only was the outcome faster than expected, but it was also more cost effective and delivered higher speeds than originally promised by the previous ISP. Over the course of the event, the service handled terabytes of data and supported hundreds of concurrent users without a single speed or performance issue. I cannot thank Summit Internet, particularly Allan and Radar enough for their exceptional service, technical expertise, and commitment to delivering under pressure. Highly recommended.Read more

  • Summit internet recently set my small business up with a local land line number and a soft phone that runs off an app on my mobile - getting my personal phone number off the internet and being able to distinguish between business and personal calls is a game changer. Whole process took less than a week, and is super cost effective. Highly recommend.Read more

Frequently asked questions

Is Summit Internet part of Superloop Business?
No. Summit Internet is an independent Australian carrier holding ACMA Carrier Licence #388. We are not affiliated with Superloop, Superloop Business or any of its brands.
Why switch if my Superloop Business service is working?
If your current service does everything your business needs, there may be no reason to switch. Many businesses talk to us when a contract is ending, when they are moving or adding a site, or when they want internet, phones and backup from one business-only carrier.
Will I have to pay to break my contract?
That depends on your agreement with your current provider, so check your terms first. Where possible, we time your switch to line up with your contract end date.
Will there be downtime when I switch?
We install and test your Summit service while your existing service is still active, and you cancel the old one only once you are happy.
Does Summit offer business nbn with a static IP?
Yes. A static IP is included with our business nbn plans, which are available nationally, with speeds up to 2000/500 Mbps on full-fibre nbn.
Can you connect more than one site?
Yes. We can quote business nbn, Ethernet over fibre or, in Melbourne and regional Victoria, fixed wireless for each of your locations. Send us your addresses through our quote form.
Can I move my business phone numbers to Summit?
Yes. We can port your existing numbers to a Summit Hosted PBX or SIP trunk. The ACMA says single local numbers generally port in 8 to 15 days, and multi-number ports can take up to 30 days. Keep your old service active until the port completes.
Do you offer backup if my internet goes down?
Yes. Our 4G Backup fails over automatically to Australia's biggest mobile network and fails back automatically when your main connection returns.
Is fixed wireless available at my address?
Summit's fixed wireless network covers Melbourne and regional Victoria. Use our coverage checker to see whether it reaches your site. Outside those areas, we offer business nbn and Ethernet over fibre.
