Overview

SPN Co is an Australian-owned telecommunications provider based in Carrum Downs, Victoria. It sells business nbn and fibre internet, SIM-only mobile plans on Telstra's wholesale 4G and 5G network, on-premise and cloud phone systems including 3CX, Microsoft Teams Calling with Direct Routing, 13, 1300 and 1800 inbound numbers, business SMS and phone systems for schools.

There are plenty of good reasons to review a provider without anything being wrong. A contract is coming to an end. You are moving office. You want your internet and phones from one carrier, with voice traffic prioritised over a connection that carrier runs. Or you would rather deal with a carrier that builds and operates its own network for business customers only.

Summit Internet is a business-only carrier. We build, own and operate our own network with Points of Presence in NEXTDC data centres, and we supply Business nbn, Ethernet over fibre, fixed wireless in Melbourne and regional Victoria, a cloud phone system, SIP trunks, Teams Calling, inbound numbers and business mobile plans to Australian businesses.

Summit Internet is an independent carrier and is not affiliated with SPN Co.

How Summit Helps

  • Business nbn With a Static IP Included

Our Business nbn plans are available nationally, with a static IP included and speeds up to 2000/500 Mbps on full-fibre nbn. Every service sits behind DDoS protection as standard.

  • Ethernet Over Fibre and Fixed Wireless

If you have outgrown nbn, Ethernet over fibre gives you a dedicated business connection. In Melbourne and regional Victoria, our fixed wireless delivers symmetric speeds from 10 Mbps up to 10 Gbps across 500+ suburbs, installed in 10 business days or the first month is free.

  • A Cloud Phone System With Every Feature Included

Our Hosted PBX starts from $10 per user per month, with auto attendant, ring groups, call queues, voicemail to email, call recording and mobile and desktop apps all included. We can preconfigure handsets and ship them to your office.

  • SIP Trunks for the Phone System You Already Have

If you run your own 3CX or another on-premise PBX and want to keep it, our SIP trunks start from 2 channels and scale up or down as your call volume changes.

  • Microsoft Teams Calling

Already working in Teams? We connect your Microsoft tenant to the phone network through Direct Routing, so staff make and take calls in Teams. You keep buying your Microsoft licences as you do today, since Summit does not resell them.

  • Your 1300 and 1800 Numbers, Ported Across

Bring your existing 1300 and 1800 numbers to Summit and point them wherever your calls need to go. On-hold messaging and fax to email are available too.

  • Business Mobiles and 4G Backup

Move your team onto our business mobile SIM plans, and protect your office connection with 4G Backup: automatic failover to Australia's biggest mobile network (98.8% population coverage) and automatic fail-back when your main link returns.

  • Internet, Phones and Mobile on One Bill

When your internet connection is also Summit's, we prioritise your voice traffic with QoS. Internet, phones and mobiles sit on one bill from one carrier.

How It Works

  1. 1 Tell us what you have

Send us a recent SPN Co bill or a list of your services, numbers and phone system, along with your contract end date. We will map out what moves and when.

  2. 2 Get a clear proposal

We recommend the right internet, phone system and mobile setup for each site and give you a written quote.

  3. 3 Install the new connection first

Your new Summit internet service goes in and is tested while your existing service keeps running.

  4. 4 Port your numbers

We lodge the port for your phone and inbound numbers. Keep your SPN Co service active until the port completes, because only active numbers can be ported. The ACMA says single local numbers generally port in 8 to 15 days, and multi-number ports can take up to 30 days.

  5. 5 Cancel the old services

Once your numbers are live with Summit and everything is working, you can cancel your remaining SPN Co services.

  • After working with another ISP for several months to deliver a critical internet service for a major international sporting event, we were ultimately advised that the required upgrade was unlikely to be completed prior to event week. This left us facing a significant risk to service delivery. After exhausting all other options (and a few sleepless nights) we came across Summit Internet. From the initial conversation, Allan immediately understood the severity of the situation and quickly engaged his technical delivery team. Michael “Radar” was on site within days to assess and finalise a solution. Despite challenging conditions, including large trees and other obstructions, he worked tirelessly to design and implement an alternative approach. Leveraging an adjacent building, a temporary NBN connection, and a wireless link into the comms room, the solution was delivered within 24 hours of the initial site visit. Not only was the outcome faster than expected, but it was also more cost effective and delivered higher speeds than originally promised by the previous ISP. Over the course of the event, the service handled terabytes of data and supported hundreds of concurrent users without a single speed or performance issue. I cannot thank Summit Internet, particularly Allan and Radar enough for their exceptional service, technical expertise, and commitment to delivering under pressure. Highly recommended.Read more

Frequently asked questions

Is Summit Internet part of SPN Co?
No. Summit Internet is an independent Australian carrier holding ACMA Carrier Licence #388, and we are not affiliated with SPN Co in any way.
Why switch if my SPN Co service is working?
If your current services do everything you need, there may be no reason to switch. Businesses usually review their provider when a contract ends, when they move office or add a site, or when they want internet, phones and mobiles from one carrier that runs its own network.
Will I have to pay to break my contract?
That depends on your agreement with SPN Co. Check your contract terms for any early termination fees. The simplest approach is to time your switch to your contract end date, and we can plan the move around it.
Can I keep my phone numbers?
Yes, in most cases your existing numbers, including 1300 and 1800 numbers, can be ported to Summit. Keep your SPN Co service active until the port completes, because only active numbers can be ported. The ACMA says single local numbers generally port in 8 to 15 days, and multi-number ports can take up to 30 days.
Can I keep my 3CX phone system?
If you want to keep running your own phone system, our SIP trunks can connect it to the phone network. If you would rather move to a fully hosted system, our Hosted PBX includes every feature from $10 per user per month.
Do you offer Microsoft Teams Calling?
Yes. We provide Teams Calling through Direct Routing. Summit does not resell Microsoft licences, so you keep your existing Microsoft arrangements.
Can you supply business nbn anywhere in Australia?
Yes. Our Business nbn is available nationally with a static IP included. Our fixed wireless network covers Melbourne and regional Victoria only, and you can check coverage at your address.
Do you supply business mobile plans?
Yes. We offer business mobile SIM plans, and they can sit on the same bill as your internet and phones.
How do I start?
