Running Your Business on SkyMesh Fixed Wireless? There's an Alternative to the nbn Tower.

SkyMesh fixed wireless runs on nbn's network, shared with the homes around you. In Melbourne and parts of regional Victoria, Summit offers business fixed wireless on its own carrier network, with symmetric speed options, installed in 10 business days or your first month free.

The Connectivity Challenge

SkyMesh is an nbn retailer, so a SkyMesh fixed wireless service travels over nbn's fixed wireless towers. Those towers are shared with every home in the area, and nbn itself says speeds depend on how many people are using the network, especially at busy times.

nbn fixed wireless plans are also built for downloading. nbn's published wholesale tiers pair download speeds of 200 Mbps and above with uploads in the tens of megabits. For a household that is fine. For a business sending backups to the cloud, running video meetings and carrying phone calls over the internet, upload is often the speed that decides whether the day runs smoothly.

If your premises is in Summit's coverage area, you have a choice nbn retailers cannot offer: a fixed wireless connection on a network built for business alone.

How Summit Helps

  • Our Own Network, Not nbn's

Summit holds ACMA Carrier Licence #388 and owns its fixed wireless network. Your connection runs on our towers and backhaul, not a shared nbn tower.

  • Symmetric Speed Options

Summit offers symmetric speeds from 10 Mbps up to 10 Gbps, so your uploads can match your downloads.

  • Business Customers Only

There are no households on our network. Capacity is planned around the working day.

  • Installed in 10 Business Days, Guaranteed

Live within 10 business days of order, or your first month is free.

  • One Accountable Carrier

We own the network and support it ourselves, so a fault goes straight to the people who can fix it.

  • Phones and Backup Too

Hosted PBX, SIP trunks and automatic 4G failover from the same carrier, on one invoice.

How It Works

  1. 1 Check Your Address

Summit's network covers Melbourne and parts of regional Victoria. Use our coverage checker or call 1300 049 749 to confirm.

  2. 2 Get a Clear Quote

Tell us what you use your connection for and we will recommend a speed and price.

  3. 3 Survey and Install

Our technicians confirm line of sight and install our own antenna on your roof.

  4. 4 Go Live, Then Cancel

We test your Summit connection while your current service keeps running, then you cancel the old one.

  • After working with another ISP for several months to deliver a critical internet service for a major international sporting event, we were ultimately advised that the required upgrade was unlikely to be completed prior to event week. This left us facing a significant risk to service delivery. After exhausting all other options (and a few sleepless nights) we came across Summit Internet. From the initial conversation, Allan immediately understood the severity of the situation and quickly engaged his technical delivery team. Michael “Radar” was on site within days to assess and finalise a solution. Despite challenging conditions, including large trees and other obstructions, he worked tirelessly to design and implement an alternative approach. Leveraging an adjacent building, a temporary NBN connection, and a wireless link into the comms room, the solution was delivered within 24 hours of the initial site visit. Not only was the outcome faster than expected, but it was also more cost effective and delivered higher speeds than originally promised by the previous ISP. Over the course of the event, the service handled terabytes of data and supported hundreds of concurrent users without a single speed or performance issue. I cannot thank Summit Internet, particularly Allan and Radar enough for their exceptional service, technical expertise, and commitment to delivering under pressure. Highly recommended.Read more
