Overview

Siptalk is a provider of cloud phone services to Australian businesses. Its range includes a cloud (hosted) PBX with ring groups, call queues, IVR auto attendant and voicemail to email, fax to email, 1300 numbers, an AI receptionist, NBN business internet and VPS servers.

Businesses review their phone provider for plenty of reasons: a contract is ending, the team is moving office, or they want their phones and the internet connection those phones depend on to come from one carrier that deals only with businesses.

Summit offers a cloud phone system, 1300 and 1800 numbers, SIP trunks and Microsoft Teams Calling, plus business nbn with a static IP, 4G backup and business mobiles, all on a network we build, own and operate. Summit Internet is an independent carrier and is not affiliated with Siptalk.

How Summit Helps

  • A Business-Only Carrier

Summit does not sell residential services. Every product, plan and support process is built around what businesses need, and we have been doing it for 26 years.

  • A Cloud Phone System With Every Feature Included

Hosted PBX starts from $10 per user per month and includes auto attendant and IVR, ring groups, call queues, voicemail to email, call recording and mobile and desktop apps. Every feature is included, so there are no add-ons to work out per user.

  • Desk Phones Ready to Plug In

If your team prefer a handset to an app, we can preconfigure the handsets and ship them to you, so they work as soon as they are plugged in.

  • 1300 and 1800 Numbers, Fax to Email and On-Hold Messaging

Moving a 1300 number? We provide 1300 and 1800 inbound numbers, fax to email and on-hold messaging, so the services your callers rely on come across with your phone system.

  • SIP Trunks for a Phone System You Own

Running your own PBX? SIP trunks start from 2 channels and scale up or down as your call volumes change.

  • Voice Prioritised on Our Own Network

When your internet connection is also with Summit, voice traffic is prioritised with QoS, so calls are not competing with downloads and backups for bandwidth.

  • Business nbn and Backup in One Place

Business nbn comes with a static IP included, up to 2000/500 Mbps on full-fibre nbn. Add 4G Backup for automatic failover to Australia's biggest mobile network and automatic fail-back when your main link returns.

  • One Bill for Internet, Phones and Mobiles

Internet, phones and business mobile SIM plans sit on one bill from one carrier.

How It Works

  1. 1 Tell us what you have

Share how many users, numbers and sites you have, plus any 1300 numbers, fax to email and call flows you rely on today.

  2. 2 Get a quote and design

We recommend a phone system and connection to match, and rebuild your ring groups, queues and IVR menus on Summit.

  3. 3 Port your numbers

We lodge the port of your existing numbers. Keep your current service active until the port completes, because only active numbers can be ported. The ACMA says single local numbers generally port in 8 to 15 days, and multi-number ports can take up to 30 days.

  4. 4 Go live

Handsets arrive preconfigured and apps are ready to sign in to, so your team keeps taking calls on the same numbers.

  5. 5 Close the old account

Once your numbers are live on Summit, cancel the remaining Siptalk services in line with your agreement.

  • After working with another ISP for several months to deliver a critical internet service for a major international sporting event, we were ultimately advised that the required upgrade was unlikely to be completed prior to event week. This left us facing a significant risk to service delivery. After exhausting all other options (and a few sleepless nights) we came across Summit Internet. From the initial conversation, Allan immediately understood the severity of the situation and quickly engaged his technical delivery team. Michael “Radar” was on site within days to assess and finalise a solution. Despite challenging conditions, including large trees and other obstructions, he worked tirelessly to design and implement an alternative approach. Leveraging an adjacent building, a temporary NBN connection, and a wireless link into the comms room, the solution was delivered within 24 hours of the initial site visit. Not only was the outcome faster than expected, but it was also more cost effective and delivered higher speeds than originally promised by the previous ISP. Over the course of the event, the service handled terabytes of data and supported hundreds of concurrent users without a single speed or performance issue. I cannot thank Summit Internet, particularly Allan and Radar enough for their exceptional service, technical expertise, and commitment to delivering under pressure. Highly recommended.Read more

Frequently asked questions

Is Summit Internet part of Siptalk?
No. Summit Internet is an independent Australian carrier holding ACMA Carrier Licence #388. We are not affiliated with Siptalk.
Why switch if my Siptalk service is working?
If your current service does everything you need, there may be no reason to switch. Businesses usually review their provider when a contract is ending, when they are moving office, or when they want their phones and internet from one business-only carrier.
Can I keep my phone numbers?
Yes, existing numbers can be ported to Summit, including 1300 and 1800 numbers. Keep your current service active until the port completes, because only active numbers can be ported. The ACMA says single local numbers generally port in 8 to 15 days, and multi-number ports can take up to 30 days.
Will I have to pay to break my contract?
That depends on your agreement with your current provider. Check your contract terms, and where possible time the switch to your contract end date.
Can you replicate my call flows?
Yes. Tell us how your ring groups, queues, IVR menus and business hours schedules work today and we set them up on Summit's Hosted PBX before your numbers move.
Do you offer fax to email?
Yes. Summit provides fax to email, along with 1300 and 1800 numbers and on-hold messaging.
Can I use my existing phone system instead?
Yes. If you own a PBX, SIP trunks connect it to Summit, starting from 2 channels and scaling up or down.
Do you provide internet as well?
Yes. We provide business nbn nationally with a static IP included, Ethernet over fibre, 4G Static IP and 4G Backup.
