Overview

Sicura Communications is a business telecommunications provider with an office in North Ryde, New South Wales. It sells voice services including SIP trunking, hosted voice (a hosted PBX) and 13, 1300 and 1800 inbound numbers, along with business nbn, business Ethernet and DSL, and 4G mobility and wireless broadband solutions.

Businesses review their telco for ordinary reasons: a contract term is ending, the office is moving, the phone system is due for replacement, or they want their internet and phones from one carrier that owns its network and deals only with businesses.

Summit offers a cloud phone system, SIP trunks, Microsoft Teams Calling and 1300/1800 numbers alongside business nbn with a static IP, Ethernet over fibre and 4G Backup, for Australian businesses. Summit Internet is an independent carrier and is not affiliated with Sicura Communications.

How Summit Helps

  • A Cloud Phone System With Every Feature Included

Our Hosted PBX starts from $10 per user per month and includes auto attendant (IVR), ring groups, call queues, voicemail to email, call recording and mobile and desktop apps. We can preconfigure your handsets and ship them to you.

  • SIP Trunks for the Phone System You Already Own

If your on-site phone system still does the job, SIP trunks start from 2 channels and scale up or down as your call volumes change.

  • Your 1300 and 1800 Numbers

We provide 1300 and 1800 inbound numbers and can port your existing ones, so callers keep reaching you on the numbers they already know.

  • Business nbn With a Static IP Included

Our business nbn is available nationally with a static IP included, and reaches up to 2000/500 Mbps on full-fibre nbn.

  • Ethernet Over Fibre for Larger Sites

Where a site needs a dedicated connection, Ethernet over fibre runs on the network we build, own and operate, with Points of Presence in NEXTDC data centres and DDoS protection as standard.

  • 4G Backup That Fails Over by Itself

4G Backup switches your connection to Australia's biggest mobile network (98.8% population coverage) automatically if your main link drops, then fails back when it returns. We also offer 4G Static IP services.

  • Voice Prioritised on Your Own Connection

When your internet connection is also Summit's, voice traffic is prioritised (QoS), and your internet, phones and mobile arrive on one bill.

  • Calls in Microsoft Teams

Answer calls in Microsoft Teams through Direct Routing. You keep your existing Microsoft licences, and we provide the calling.

How It Works

  1. 1 Tell us what you have

Share a recent bill or a list of your services, such as SIP trunks, hosted voice, inbound numbers, nbn and 4G, and when your current agreement ends.

  2. 2 Get a quote

We recommend the internet, phone and backup services that fit, and send a written quote.

  3. 3 Install the new connection

We set up your Summit internet and phone system first, with handsets preconfigured if you need them.

  4. 4 Port your numbers

We lodge the port of your existing numbers. Keep your Sicura services active until the port completes, because only active numbers can be ported. The ACMA says single local numbers generally port in 8 to 15 days, and multi-number ports can take up to 30 days.

  5. 5 Cancel the old services

Once your numbers are live with Summit, you can arrange to close the old services under your existing agreement.

  • After working with another ISP for several months to deliver a critical internet service for a major international sporting event, we were ultimately advised that the required upgrade was unlikely to be completed prior to event week. This left us facing a significant risk to service delivery. After exhausting all other options (and a few sleepless nights) we came across Summit Internet. From the initial conversation, Allan immediately understood the severity of the situation and quickly engaged his technical delivery team. Michael “Radar” was on site within days to assess and finalise a solution. Despite challenging conditions, including large trees and other obstructions, he worked tirelessly to design and implement an alternative approach. Leveraging an adjacent building, a temporary NBN connection, and a wireless link into the comms room, the solution was delivered within 24 hours of the initial site visit. Not only was the outcome faster than expected, but it was also more cost effective and delivered higher speeds than originally promised by the previous ISP. Over the course of the event, the service handled terabytes of data and supported hundreds of concurrent users without a single speed or performance issue. I cannot thank Summit Internet, particularly Allan and Radar enough for their exceptional service, technical expertise, and commitment to delivering under pressure. Highly recommended.Read more

  • Summit internet recently set my small business up with a local land line number and a soft phone that runs off an app on my mobile - getting my personal phone number off the internet and being able to distinguish between business and personal calls is a game changer. Frequently asked questions

Is Summit Internet part of Sicura Communications?
No. Summit Internet is an independent Australian carrier holding ACMA Carrier Licence #388, and is not affiliated with Sicura Communications.
Why switch if my Sicura Communications service is working?
If your current services do everything you need, there may be no reason to change. Businesses usually review their provider when a contract is ending, they are moving office, their phone system is due for replacement, or they want internet and phones from one carrier.
Will I have to pay to break my contract?
That depends on your agreement with Sicura Communications. Check your contract terms, and if possible time the switch to your contract end date.
Can I keep my phone numbers?
Yes. We can port your existing numbers, including 1300 and 1800 numbers. Keep your current services active until the port completes, because only active numbers can be ported.
How long does number porting take?
The ACMA says single local numbers generally port in 8 to 15 days, and multi-number ports can take up to 30 days.
Can I keep my existing phone system?
Yes, if it supports SIP. SIP trunks start from 2 channels. If you would rather move to the cloud, our Hosted PBX replaces the on-site system.
Does Summit offer business nbn outside Victoria?
Yes. Business nbn is available nationally with a static IP included. Fixed wireless is available in Melbourne and regional Victoria only.
Do you have a backup option if my internet goes down?
Yes. 4G Backup fails over automatically to Australia's biggest mobile network and fails back when your main connection returns.
