Overview

Quantacom is an ICT company based in Kewdale, Western Australia, that sells to small and medium businesses. Its range includes a hosted PABX cloud phone system, internet services including nbn, fibre, fixed wireless, 5G and failover options, business mobile plans, managed IT and cloud services, and call centre answering.

Businesses review their provider for plenty of reasons: a contract is ending, the team is moving office, or they want their phones and the internet connection those phones depend on to come from one carrier that deals only with businesses.

Summit offers a cloud phone system, SIP trunks and Microsoft Teams Calling, plus business nbn with a static IP, Ethernet over fibre, 4G backup and business mobiles, all on a network we build, own and operate. Summit Internet is an independent carrier and is not affiliated with Quantacom.

How Summit Helps

  • A Business-Only Carrier

Summit does not sell residential services. Every product, plan and support process is built around what businesses need, and we have been doing it for 26 years.

  • A Cloud Phone System With Every Feature Included

Moving off a hosted PABX? Hosted PBX starts from $10 per user per month and includes auto attendant and IVR, ring groups, call queues, voicemail to email, call recording and mobile and desktop apps. Every feature is included.

  • Handsets Ready to Plug In

We can preconfigure your handsets and ship them to you, so your team is making calls as soon as they are plugged in, wherever in Australia your office is.

  • SIP Trunks and Teams Calling

Running your own phone system? SIP trunks start from 2 channels and scale up or down. If your team lives in Microsoft Teams, Teams Calling connects it to the phone network through Direct Routing, and you keep buying your Microsoft licences as you do now.

  • Business nbn With a Static IP Included

Business nbn is available nationally with a static IP included and speeds up to 2000/500 Mbps on full-fibre nbn. For sites that need a dedicated connection, we also provide Ethernet over fibre.

  • Voice Prioritised on Your Carrier's Network

When your internet connection is also Summit's, voice traffic is prioritised with QoS. Our network has Points of Presence in NEXTDC data centres, with DDoS protection as standard.

  • 4G Backup That Fails Over Automatically

4G Backup fails over automatically to Australia's biggest mobile network, with 98.8% population coverage, and fails back automatically when your main service returns, so your phones keep working through a line fault.

  • Inbound Numbers, Mobiles and One Bill

Add 1300 and 1800 numbers, fax to email, on-hold messaging and business mobile SIM plans. Internet, phones and mobile arrive on one bill.

How It Works

  1. 1 Tell us what you have now

List your Quantacom phone numbers, users, call flows, internet services and mobiles, and when your agreement ends.

  2. 2 Get a quote

We recommend the right phone setup, whether Hosted PBX, Teams Calling or SIP trunks, plus internet and backup, and send you a written quote.

  3. 3 Install your connection and phones

We order your business nbn or fibre service, build your auto attendant, ring groups and queues, and preconfigure and ship handsets if you need them.

  4. 4 Port your numbers

We port your existing numbers across. Keep your Quantacom service active until the port completes, because only active numbers can be ported. The ACMA says single local numbers generally port in 8 to 15 days, and multi-number ports can take up to 30 days.

  5. 5 Cancel once you are live

When your numbers have moved and everything is working, you cancel the old services.

  • After working with another ISP for several months to deliver a critical internet service for a major international sporting event, we were ultimately advised that the required upgrade was unlikely to be completed prior to event week. This left us facing a significant risk to service delivery. After exhausting all other options (and a few sleepless nights) we came across Summit Internet. From the initial conversation, Allan immediately understood the severity of the situation and quickly engaged his technical delivery team. Michael “Radar” was on site within days to assess and finalise a solution. Despite challenging conditions, including large trees and other obstructions, he worked tirelessly to design and implement an alternative approach. Leveraging an adjacent building, a temporary NBN connection, and a wireless link into the comms room, the solution was delivered within 24 hours of the initial site visit. Not only was the outcome faster than expected, but it was also more cost effective and delivered higher speeds than originally promised by the previous ISP. Over the course of the event, the service handled terabytes of data and supported hundreds of concurrent users without a single speed or performance issue. I cannot thank Summit Internet, particularly Allan and Radar enough for their exceptional service, technical expertise, and commitment to delivering under pressure. Highly recommended.Read more

  • Summit internet recently set my small business up with a local land line number and a soft phone that runs off an app on my mobile - getting my personal phone number off the internet and being able to distinguish between business and personal calls is a game changer. Whole process took less than a week, and is super cost effective. Highly recommend.Read more

Frequently asked questions

Is Summit Internet part of Quantacom?
No. Summit Internet is an independent Australian carrier holding ACMA Carrier Licence #388. We are not affiliated with Quantacom.
Why switch if my Quantacom service is working?
If your current services do everything you need, there may be no reason to switch. Businesses usually review their provider when a contract is ending, they are moving office, or they want phones, internet and mobiles from one business-only carrier on its own network.
Will I have to pay to break my contract?
That depends on your agreement with Quantacom. Check your contract terms and, where possible, time the switch to your contract end date. We can plan the move around it.
Can I keep my phone numbers?
Yes, in most cases. We port your existing numbers to Summit. Keep your Quantacom service active until the port completes, because only active numbers can be ported. The ACMA says single local numbers generally port in 8 to 15 days, and multi-number ports can take up to 30 days.
Can you replace a hosted PABX?
Yes. Hosted PBX is our cloud phone system, from $10 per user per month with auto attendant, ring groups, call queues, voicemail to email, call recording and apps included.
Do you provide internet outside Victoria?
Yes. Business nbn is available nationally with a static IP included. Our fixed wireless network covers Melbourne and regional Victoria only.
Can my phones keep working if the internet goes down?
4G Backup fails over automatically to Australia's biggest mobile network and fails back when your main connection returns, so a cloud phone system stays connected.
Do you provide business mobiles?
Yes. We offer business mobile SIM plans, billed alongside your internet and phones.
