Overview
Pure IP sells global enterprise voice to businesses, including PSTN replacement and managed SBC services, connectivity for Microsoft Teams through Operator Connect and Direct Routing, Webex Calling and Zoom Phone, and managed SD-WAN and WAN services. It describes its voice coverage as spanning 137 countries. Pure IP is the enterprise business of BCM One, which also operates brands including SkySwitch, SIP.US, SIPTRUNK and Flowroute.
Businesses review their voice provider for plenty of reasons: a contract is ending, the team is moving office, the business no longer needs voice in many countries, or they want their Australian phones and the internet connection those calls run over to come from one carrier that deals only with businesses.
For Australian sites, Summit offers Microsoft Teams Calling, SIP trunks and a cloud phone system, plus business nbn with a static IP, 4G backup and business mobiles, all on our own network. Summit Internet is an independent carrier and is not affiliated with Pure IP.
How Summit Helps
-
Microsoft Teams Calling Through Direct Routing
Teams Calling connects Microsoft Teams to the phone network through Direct Routing, so your staff make and take calls on their Australian business numbers from Teams. You keep buying your Microsoft licences as you do now.
-
SIP Trunks for a Phone System You Own
Running your own PBX, SBC or contact centre platform? SIP trunks start from 2 channels and scale up or down as your call volumes change.
-
A Cloud Phone System With Every Feature Included
If you would rather not run Teams Calling or your own PBX, Hosted PBX starts from $10 per user per month and includes auto attendant and IVR, ring groups, call queues, voicemail to email, call recording and mobile and desktop apps. Handsets can be preconfigured and shipped.
-
A Business-Only Carrier
Summit does not sell residential services. We sell only to businesses, and we have been doing it for 26 years.
-
Voice Prioritised on Your Own Carrier's Network
When your internet connection is also Summit's, voice traffic is prioritised with QoS. Business nbn comes with a static IP included, with speeds up to 2000/500 Mbps on full-fibre nbn, and Ethernet over fibre is available for sites that need it. Our network has Points of Presence in NEXTDC data centres with DDoS protection as standard.
-
4G Backup for When the Line Drops
Calls over the internet need a working connection. 4G Backup fails over automatically to Australia's biggest mobile network, with 98.8% population coverage, and fails back automatically when your main service returns.
-
Inbound Numbers, Mobiles and One Bill
Add 1300 and 1800 numbers, fax to email, on-hold messaging and business mobile SIM plans. Internet, phones and mobile arrive on one bill.

We configure Direct Routing, your SIP trunks or your Hosted PBX call flows, and preconfigured handsets can be shipped if you need them.
- 4 Port your numbers
Port your numbers
We port your existing Australian numbers across. Keep your Pure IP service active until the port completes, because only active numbers can be ported. The ACMA says single local numbers generally port in 8 to 15 days, and multi-number ports can take up to 30 days.
- 5 Cancel once you are live
Cancel once you are live
When your numbers have moved and calls are working, you cancel the old service for those numbers.

We recently moved our dental practice over to Summit for phone services, and the experience has been excellent from start to finish. The team has been responsive, professional, and incredibly helpful throughout the entire setup process. The transition was smooth, any issues were addressed promptly, and communication was always clear and efficient. Reliable phones and internet are essential for a busy practice like ours, and Summit has delivered exactly that. A special thank you to Michael for his patience and ongoing assistance during the transition. Highly recommend Summit to any business looking for reliable service and great customer support.Read more

After working with another ISP for several months to deliver a critical internet service for a major international sporting event, we were ultimately advised that the required upgrade was unlikely to be completed prior to event week. This left us facing a significant risk to service delivery. After exhausting all other options (and a few sleepless nights) we came across Summit Internet. From the initial conversation, Allan immediately understood the severity of the situation and quickly engaged his technical delivery team. Michael “Radar” was on site within days to assess and finalise a solution. Despite challenging conditions, including large trees and other obstructions, he worked tirelessly to design and implement an alternative approach. Leveraging an adjacent building, a temporary NBN connection, and a wireless link into the comms room, the solution was delivered within 24 hours of the initial site visit. Not only was the outcome faster than expected, but it was also more cost effective and delivered higher speeds than originally promised by the previous ISP. Over the course of the event, the service handled terabytes of data and supported hundreds of concurrent users without a single speed or performance issue. I cannot thank Summit Internet, particularly Allan and Radar enough for their exceptional service, technical expertise, and commitment to delivering under pressure. Highly recommended.Read more

Summit internet recently set my small business up with a local land line number and a soft phone that runs off an app on my mobile - getting my personal phone number off the internet and being able to distinguish between business and personal calls is a game changer. Whole process took less than a week, and is super cost effective. Highly recommend.Read more
