Overview

Protech Solutions is a Perth-based business that designs, installs and supports communications, security and audio visual systems across Western Australia. Its internet and carrier services include custom commercial internet, fibre, GPON and wireless backhaul, alongside site-wide networks, CCTV, access control and AV for commercial, mining, marine and critical infrastructure customers.

Businesses review their connectivity for ordinary reasons: a contract is coming to an end, the office is moving, or they want internet and phones from one carrier instead of several suppliers. Some simply prefer a provider that only deals with businesses.

Summit Internet focuses on the connection and the phones. We supply business nbn nationally with a static IP included, Ethernet over fibre, 4G Backup and business phone systems, delivered over a network we build, own and operate. On-site cabling, Wi-Fi, security and AV can stay with whoever installed them, and we provide the internet link they run over.

Summit Internet is an independent carrier and is not affiliated with Protech Solutions WA.

How Summit Helps

  • Business nbn with a static IP included

Our business nbn plans are available nationally, including Western Australia, and include a static IP at no extra charge. Speeds go up to 2000/500 Mbps on full-fibre nbn.

  • Ethernet over fibre for offices that need more

Where a standard nbn service is not enough, we can quote Ethernet over fibre for head offices and busier sites.

  • 4G Static IP and 4G Backup

4G Backup fails over to Australia's biggest mobile network (98.8% population coverage) if your main link drops, then fails back automatically when it returns. A 4G Static IP service is also available where a fixed line is not the right fit.

  • Our own network, with NEXTDC Points of Presence

Summit builds, owns and operates its network, with Points of Presence in NEXTDC data centres.

  • DDoS protection as standard

DDoS protection comes as standard with Summit connections.

  • Keep your on-site systems as they are

Your internal network, Wi-Fi, CCTV and access control do not need to change. Summit supplies the internet service at the edge, and your existing equipment keeps working behind it.

  • Phones on the same connection

Add a Hosted PBX from $10 per user per month or SIP trunks for an existing phone system. When the internet connection is also Summit's, voice traffic is prioritised.

  • One bill for internet, phones and mobile

Internet, phones and business mobile SIM plans all come on one Summit bill, with one carrier to call.

How It Works

  1. 1 Tell us what you have

List the sites you want connected, your current internet services and contract end dates, and note which on-site systems you plan to keep with your existing installer.

  2. 2 Get a recommendation and quote

We match each site to business nbn or Ethernet over fibre, and add 4G Backup or phones where it makes sense.

  3. 3 Schedule the install

We time the new connection to suit your contract end date or office move, so you are not paying for two services longer than necessary.

  4. 4 Cut over

Your new service is installed before you switch traffic across. If you are also moving phones, numbers are ported while the old service stays active, because only active numbers can be ported.

  5. 5 Cancel the old service

Once everything is running on Summit, you cancel the services you no longer need with your previous provider.

Why Protech Solutions WA Customers Choose Summit

  • 01

A licensed carrier, not a reseller

Summit holds ACMA Carrier Licence #388 and has been in business for 26 years. We run our own network rather than reselling someone else's.

  • 02

    Business only

Summit does not sell residential services. Our products, processes and team are built around business customers.

  • 03

    Internet and phones together

Many businesses want their connection and their phone system from one carrier. Summit supplies both, with voice traffic prioritised on Summit internet.

  • 04

    Flexible about what stays where

You do not have to move everything at once. Keep your security, AV and site networks with the people who built them and move only the connectivity, or start with one office and add others later.

  • As a reseller, we primarily work with Summit’s 4G services and have been very impressed. The plans are affordable, flexible, and well suited to our customers—especially for internet failover solutions. The sales and support teams are responsive and genuinely helpful, which is why we’re proud to partner with Summit Internet. We happily recommend them.Read more

  • After working with another ISP for several months to deliver a critical internet service for a major international sporting event, we were ultimately advised that the required upgrade was unlikely to be completed prior to event week. This left us facing a significant risk to service delivery. After exhausting all other options (and a few sleepless nights) we came across Summit Internet. From the initial conversation, Allan immediately understood the severity of the situation and quickly engaged his technical delivery team. Michael “Radar” was on site within days to assess and finalise a solution. Despite challenging conditions, including large trees and other obstructions, he worked tirelessly to design and implement an alternative approach. Leveraging an adjacent building, a temporary NBN connection, and a wireless link into the comms room, the solution was delivered within 24 hours of the initial site visit. Not only was the outcome faster than expected, but it was also more cost effective and delivered higher speeds than originally promised by the previous ISP. Over the course of the event, the service handled terabytes of data and supported hundreds of concurrent users without a single speed or performance issue. I cannot thank Summit Internet, particularly Allan and Radar enough for their exceptional service, technical expertise, and commitment to delivering under pressure. Highly recommended.Read more

  • Summit internet recently set my small business up with a local land line number and a soft phone that runs off an app on my mobile - getting my personal phone number off the internet and being able to distinguish between business and personal calls is a game changer. Whole process took less than a week, and is super cost effective. Highly recommend.Read more
