Overview
North Coast Telephone Systems (NCTS, trading as North Coast Telecommunication Services Pty Ltd) is based in Lismore and has supplied telephone systems, advice and support since 1992, mainly to small and medium businesses in Northern NSW and South East Queensland. It sells NEC phone systems, including the on-premise UNIVERGE SL2100 and SV9100 and the hosted NEC UNIVERGE BLUE, as well as its own NCTS Cloud PBX. It also offers SIP trunks, nbn and wireless internet, and SIM-only mobile plans, along with installation and maintenance services.
Businesses review their phone setup for ordinary reasons: a contract or plan term is ending, the office is moving or expanding, an on-premise PABX is due for replacement, or they want their phone system, phone lines, internet and mobiles from one carrier that deals only with businesses.
Summit offers a cloud phone system, SIP trunks for phone systems you already own, Microsoft Teams Calling, 1300 and 1800 numbers, business nbn with a static IP and business mobile, all on a network we build, own and operate. Summit Internet is an independent carrier and is not affiliated with North Coast Telephone Systems.
How Summit Helps
-
A Cloud Phone System With Every Feature Included
Our Hosted PBX starts from $10 per user per month with every feature included: auto attendant, ring groups, call queues, voicemail to email, call recording, and mobile and desktop apps. There is no on-site PABX to maintain or replace.
-
SIP Trunks for the Phone System You Already Own
If your NEC or other IP-capable phone system still has years of life in it, our SIP trunks can connect it to the network. Start from 2 channels and scale up or down as your call volume changes.
-
Keep Your Existing Numbers
We port your existing phone numbers to Summit, so your customers keep calling the same numbers you have always used.
-
Handsets Ready to Plug In
Handsets for the cloud phone system can be preconfigured and shipped to you, so staff can plug in and start taking calls without a technician on site.
-
Phones and Internet From One Carrier
Pair your phones with business nbn, which includes a static IP and runs up to 2000/500 Mbps on full-fibre nbn, or with Ethernet over fibre. When the connection is also Summit's, voice traffic is prioritised.
-
Backup When the Line Drops
Add 4G Backup and your connection fails over automatically to Australia's biggest mobile network, which covers 98.8% of the population, then fails back automatically when the main service returns.
-
Inbound Numbers, Fax and On-Hold
We provide 1300 and 1800 numbers, fax to email and on-hold messaging, so the extras around your phone system sit with the same carrier.
-
Mobiles on the Same Bill
Business mobile SIM plans sit alongside your internet and phones, on one bill.

We recently moved our dental practice over to Summit for phone services, and the experience has been excellent from start to finish. The team has been responsive, professional, and incredibly helpful throughout the entire setup process. The transition was smooth, any issues were addressed promptly, and communication was always clear and efficient. Reliable phones and internet are essential for a busy practice like ours, and Summit has delivered exactly that. A special thank you to Michael for his patience and ongoing assistance during the transition. Highly recommend Summit to any business looking for reliable service and great customer support.Read more

After working with another ISP for several months to deliver a critical internet service for a major international sporting event, we were ultimately advised that the required upgrade was unlikely to be completed prior to event week. This left us facing a significant risk to service delivery. After exhausting all other options (and a few sleepless nights) we came across Summit Internet. From the initial conversation, Allan immediately understood the severity of the situation and quickly engaged his technical delivery team. Michael “Radar” was on site within days to assess and finalise a solution. Despite challenging conditions, including large trees and other obstructions, he worked tirelessly to design and implement an alternative approach. Leveraging an adjacent building, a temporary NBN connection, and a wireless link into the comms room, the solution was delivered within 24 hours of the initial site visit. Not only was the outcome faster than expected, but it was also more cost effective and delivered higher speeds than originally promised by the previous ISP. Over the course of the event, the service handled terabytes of data and supported hundreds of concurrent users without a single speed or performance issue. I cannot thank Summit Internet, particularly Allan and Radar enough for their exceptional service, technical expertise, and commitment to delivering under pressure. Highly recommended.Read more

Summit internet recently set my small business up with a local land line number and a soft phone that runs off an app on my mobile - getting my personal phone number off the internet and being able to distinguish between business and personal calls is a game changer. Whole process took less than a week, and is super cost effective. Highly recommend.Read more
