Overview

NetSG (Network Solutions Group Pty Ltd) describes itself as a licensed carrier focused on Australian business and wholesale customers, with headquarters in New South Wales. Its business range includes business broadband, fibre internet, SD-WAN, cloud connectivity, voice and mobile SIM cards, delivered over its IP/MPLS core network.

There are plenty of ordinary reasons a business reviews its telco: a contract is coming to an end, the office is moving, or you want internet, phones and mobile handled by one carrier. Some businesses simply want to compare what else is on offer before they sign again.

Summit offers business nbn with a static IP included, ethernet over fibre, fixed wireless in Melbourne and regional Victoria, a cloud phone system, SIP trunks, Microsoft Teams Calling and business mobile SIM plans. We have been doing this for 26 years and we only sell to businesses.

Summit Internet is an independent carrier and is not affiliated with NetSG.

How Summit Helps

  • Business nbn with a static IP included

Our business nbn plans include a static IP as standard, with speeds up to 2000/500 Mbps on full-fibre nbn. It is available to Australian businesses nationally.

  • Ethernet over fibre for larger sites

If your business runs on a dedicated fibre service, we can quote ethernet over fibre. It suits offices that need consistent, symmetric bandwidth for staff, cloud apps and voice.

  • Fixed wireless in Melbourne and regional Victoria

Across 500+ suburbs in Melbourne and regional Victoria, our own fixed wireless network delivers symmetric speeds from 10 Mbps up to 10 Gbps. It is installed in 10 business days or the first month is free.

  • A cloud phone system with every feature included

Our Hosted PBX starts from $10 per user per month with auto attendant, ring groups, call queues, voicemail to email, call recording and mobile and desktop apps all included. Handsets can be preconfigured and shipped to you.

  • SIP trunks for your existing phone system

Keeping your current PBX? Our SIP trunks start from 2 channels and scale up or down as your call volume changes.

  • Microsoft Teams Calling

If your staff live in Teams, we can connect it to the phone network through Direct Routing. You keep your existing Microsoft licences, as Summit does not resell them.

  • 4G backup and mobile SIMs

4G Backup fails over automatically to Australia's biggest mobile network, with 98.8% population coverage, and fails back when your main link returns. Add business mobile SIM plans to keep everything on one bill.

  • Voice prioritised on your Summit connection

When your internet and phones are both with Summit, voice traffic is prioritised with QoS across our network. Our network includes DDoS protection as standard.

How It Works

  1. 1 Tell us what you have now

Share a recent bill or a list of your services, sites and phone numbers, along with your contract end date.

  2. 2 Get a clear quote

We recommend the right mix of internet, voice and mobile for each site and confirm what is available at your address.

  3. 3 Install and configure

We install your new connection and set up your phone system or SIP trunks, with handsets preconfigured if you need them.

  4. 4 Port your numbers

We lodge the port for your existing numbers. Keep your current voice service active until the port completes, because only active numbers can be ported.

  5. 5 Cancel the old services

Once everything is live and your numbers have moved, you cancel your remaining services with your previous provider.

Why NetSG Customers Choose Summit

  • 01

    Business-only, for 26 years

Summit has served Australian businesses since August 2000 and does not sell residential services. Everything we build is designed around business needs.

  • 02

    Our own network

We build, own and operate our own network, with Points of Presence in NEXTDC data centres and DDoS protection as standard.

  • 03

Internet, phones and mobile on one bill

One carrier for your connection, your phone system and your mobiles means one bill and one place to call when you need help.

  • 04

    Independent and licensed

Summit holds ACMA Carrier Licence #388. We are an independent Australian carrier, not a reseller brand of a larger telco.

The team has been responsive, professional, and incredibly helpful throughout the entire setup process. The transition was smooth, any issues were addressed promptly, and communication was always clear and efficient. Reliable phones and internet are essential for a busy practice like ours, and Summit has delivered exactly that. • After working with another ISP for several months to deliver a critical internet service for a major international sporting event, we were ultimately advised that the required upgrade was unlikely to be completed prior to event week. This left us facing a significant risk to service delivery. After exhausting all other options (and a few sleepless nights) we came across Summit Internet. From the initial conversation, Allan immediately understood the severity of the situation and quickly engaged his technical delivery team. Michael “Radar” was on site within days to assess and finalise a solution. Despite challenging conditions, including large trees and other obstructions, he worked tirelessly to design and implement an alternative approach. Leveraging an adjacent building, a temporary NBN connection, and a wireless link into the comms room, the solution was delivered within 24 hours of the initial site visit. Not only was the outcome faster than expected, but it was also more cost effective and delivered higher speeds than originally promised by the previous ISP. Over the course of the event, the service handled terabytes of data and supported hundreds of concurrent users without a single speed or performance issue. I cannot thank Summit Internet, particularly Allan and Radar enough for their exceptional service, technical expertise, and commitment to delivering under pressure. Highly recommended.Read more

  • Summit internet recently set my small business up with a local land line number and a soft phone that runs off an app on my mobile - getting my personal phone number off the internet and being able to distinguish between business and personal calls is a game changer. Whole process took less than a week, and is super cost effective. Highly recommend.Read more

Frequently asked questions

Is Summit Internet part of NetSG?
No. Summit Internet is an independent Australian carrier holding ACMA Carrier Licence #388. We are not affiliated with NetSG or Network Solutions Group Pty Ltd.
Why switch if my NetSG service is working?
If your current services do everything your business needs, there may be no reason to switch. Many businesses compare options when a contract is ending, when they move or add an office, or when they want internet, phones and mobile from one business-only carrier.
Will I have to pay to break my contract?
That depends on the terms of your agreement with NetSG. Check your contract end date and any early termination terms, and we can time your switch so your new services go live as your current term finishes.
Can I keep my phone numbers?
In most cases, yes. We can port your existing numbers to Summit. The ACMA says single local numbers generally port in 8 to 15 days, and multi-number ports can take up to 30 days. Keep your existing service active until the port completes, because only active numbers can be ported.
Can I keep my existing phone system?
Yes. If your PBX supports SIP, our SIP trunks can connect it, starting from 2 channels. If you would rather move to the cloud, our Hosted PBX replaces the on-site system.
Do you offer business nbn outside Victoria?
Yes. Our business nbn is available nationally, with a static IP included. Fixed wireless is available only in Melbourne and regional Victoria.
Can I move my 1300 or 1800 numbers?
Yes. We provide 1300 and 1800 inbound numbers and can port existing ones, along with fax to email and on-hold messaging.
What do I need to get a quote?
A recent bill or a list of your services, the addresses of each site, the phone numbers you want to keep and your contract end date. You can request a quote online or call us on 1300 049 749.
