Overview

NCvoice is an Australian telecommunications provider that describes itself as a one stop shop for businesses. It sells a cloud hosted PBX phone system, Microsoft Teams Direct Routing and a Teams contact centre product, call recording, 13, 1300 and 1800 numbers, IP phones, business nbn internet and SIM only mobile plans on the Telstra wholesale mobile network.

Businesses review their phone provider for plenty of reasons: a contract is ending, the team is moving office, or they want their phones and the internet connection those phones depend on to come from one carrier that deals only with businesses.

Summit offers a cloud phone system, SIP trunks, Microsoft Teams Calling and 1300 and 1800 numbers, plus business nbn with a static IP, 4G backup and business mobiles, all on a network we build, own and operate. Summit Internet is an independent carrier and is not affiliated with NCvoice.

How Summit Helps

  • A Business-Only Carrier

Summit does not sell residential services. Every product, plan and support process is built around what businesses need, and we have been doing it for 26 years.

  • A Cloud Phone System With Every Feature Included

Our Hosted PBX starts from $10 per user per month with every feature included: auto attendant and IVR, ring groups, call queues, voicemail to email, call recording, and mobile and desktop apps. Handsets can be preconfigured and shipped, so they work when they are plugged in.

  • Microsoft Teams Calling via Direct Routing

If your team already lives in Microsoft Teams, we connect it to the phone network with Direct Routing, so staff make and take business calls in Teams. Summit does not resell Microsoft licences, so you keep the licensing arrangement you already have.

  • SIP Trunks for Your Existing Phone System

Happy with the phone system you own? Our SIP trunks start from 2 channels and scale up or down as your call volumes change.

  • Inbound Numbers, On-Hold Messaging and Fax to Email

We provide 1300 and 1800 inbound numbers, on-hold messaging and fax to email, and we can port the existing numbers your customers already know.

  • Business nbn With a Static IP

Business nbn comes with a static IP included, up to 2000/500 Mbps on full-fibre nbn. When your internet is also Summit's, voice traffic is prioritised (QoS).

  • Mobiles and 4G Backup on the Same Bill

Add business mobile SIM plans and 4G Backup, which fails over automatically to Australia's biggest mobile network (98.8% population coverage) and fails back when your main link returns. Internet, phones and mobile arrive on one bill.

  • Our Own Network, With DDoS Protection as Standard

Summit builds, owns and operates its network, with Points of Presence in NEXTDC data centres and DDoS protection included as standard.

How It Works

  1. 1 Tell us what you have

Share your current NCvoice services, such as hosted PBX users, Teams Direct Routing, inbound numbers, nbn and mobiles, and when your agreement ends.

  2. 2 Get a tailored quote

We recommend the right mix of Hosted PBX, SIP trunks or Teams Calling, plus internet and mobile, and give you a clear quote.

  3. 3 Set up before you switch

We configure your phone system, call flows and handsets, and get your new internet connection ready while your current services stay active.

  4. 4 Port your numbers

We lodge the port of your existing numbers. Keep your NCvoice service active until the port completes, because only active numbers can be ported. The ACMA says single local numbers generally port in 8 to 15 days, and multi-number ports can take up to 30 days.

  5. 5 Go live, then cancel

Once your numbers are working on Summit, you can cancel the old services in line with your NCvoice agreement.

  • After working with another ISP for several months to deliver a critical internet service for a major international sporting event, we were ultimately advised that the required upgrade was unlikely to be completed prior to event week. This left us facing a significant risk to service delivery. After exhausting all other options (and a few sleepless nights) we came across Summit Internet. From the initial conversation, Allan immediately understood the severity of the situation and quickly engaged his technical delivery team. Michael “Radar” was on site within days to assess and finalise a solution. Despite challenging conditions, including large trees and other obstructions, he worked tirelessly to design and implement an alternative approach. Leveraging an adjacent building, a temporary NBN connection, and a wireless link into the comms room, the solution was delivered within 24 hours of the initial site visit. Not only was the outcome faster than expected, but it was also more cost effective and delivered higher speeds than originally promised by the previous ISP. Over the course of the event, the service handled terabytes of data and supported hundreds of concurrent users without a single speed or performance issue. I cannot thank Summit Internet, particularly Allan and Radar enough for their exceptional service, technical expertise, and commitment to delivering under pressure. Highly recommended.Read more

Frequently asked questions

Is Summit Internet part of NCvoice?
No. Summit Internet is an independent Australian carrier holding ACMA Carrier Licence #388. We are not affiliated with NCvoice.
Why switch if my NCvoice service is working?
If your current service does everything you need, there may be no reason to switch. Businesses usually look at Summit when a contract is ending, when they move office, or when they want phones, internet and mobiles from one business-only carrier that runs its own network.
Will I have to pay to break my contract?
That depends on your agreement with NCvoice. Check your contract terms, and we can time your switch to line up with the end of your current term.
Can I keep my phone numbers?
Yes, existing numbers can be ported to Summit, including 1300 and 1800 numbers. Your NCvoice service must stay active until the port completes, because only active numbers can be ported. The ACMA says single local numbers generally port in 8 to 15 days, and multi-number ports can take up to 30 days.
We use Microsoft Teams for calling. Can Summit support that?
Yes. We connect Microsoft Teams to the phone network via Direct Routing. Summit does not resell Microsoft licences, so you keep your existing Microsoft licensing.
Can you supply handsets?
Yes. For our Hosted PBX, handsets can be preconfigured and shipped, ready to plug in.
Do I have to move my internet and mobiles too?
No. You can move just your phones, but bringing your internet across means voice traffic is prioritised on our network, and phones, internet and mobile come on one bill.
Does Summit sell to households?
No. Summit is business-only and does not sell residential services.
