Overview

NCR Phones is the phone brand of NCR Group, based in Tweed Heads and Wollongbar in northern NSW. It supplies businesses anywhere in Australia with a hosted phone system built on Yeastar, delivered over VoIP, with the Linkus app for desktop and mobile, fax to email and desk phones supplied through its sister brand NCR Tech.

Businesses review their phone provider for plenty of ordinary reasons: a contract coming to an end, a move to a new office, a team that has grown, or a wish to have internet and phones from the same carrier so there is one point of contact when something needs attention.

Summit Internet offers a Hosted PBX cloud phone system from $10 per user per month with every feature included, SIP trunks for businesses that own their own phone system, and Microsoft Teams Calling. Pair it with business nbn and Summit prioritises your voice traffic on the connection.

Summit Internet is an independent carrier and is not affiliated with NCR Phones or NCR Group.

How Summit Helps

  • A cloud phone system with everything included

Summit's Hosted PBX starts from $10 per user per month, and every feature is included. Auto attendant, ring groups, call queues, voicemail to email and call recording are all part of the service, not extras.

  • Your business number on desktop and mobile

If your team is used to taking calls on a laptop or phone app, Summit's Hosted PBX includes mobile and desktop apps. Staff can answer the business line wherever they are working.

  • Keep the numbers your customers know

Summit can port your existing numbers across, so the number on your website, signage and invoices stays the same. Keep your current service active until the port completes, because only active numbers can be ported.

  • Handsets ready to plug in

Summit can preconfigure handsets and ship them to your office, so your phones are set up for your extensions and call flows when they arrive.

  • Fax to email and on-hold messaging

If you still receive faxes, Summit offers fax to email. On-hold messaging is available so callers hear about your business while they wait.

  • SIP trunks if you own your phone system

If you would rather run your own phone system, Summit's SIP trunks start from 2 channels and scale up or down as your call volume changes.

  • Internet and phones from one carrier

Summit's business nbn includes a static IP, with up to 2000/500 Mbps on full-fibre nbn. When your internet is also Summit's, voice traffic is prioritised, and internet, phones and mobile sit on one bill.

  • Stay online if the line drops

4G Backup fails over automatically to Australia's biggest mobile network, with 98.8% population coverage, and fails back automatically when your main connection returns.

How It Works

  1. 1 Tell us what you have

Share your current numbers, extensions, call flows and any handsets you use, plus when your current agreement ends.

  2. 2 Get a tailored quote

We recommend Hosted PBX, SIP trunks or Teams Calling based on how your business takes calls, with internet and 4G Backup if you want them.

  3. 3 We set up and ship

Your phone system is built with your auto attendant, ring groups and queues, and handsets can be preconfigured and shipped to you.

  4. 4 Port your numbers

We lodge the port with your current provider. Keep your NCR Phones service active until the port completes, because only active numbers can be ported. The ACMA says single local numbers generally port in 8 to 15 days, and multi-number ports can take up to 30 days.

  5. 5 Go live

Calls arrive on Summit, your team is on the new system, and you can then close your old service.

  • After working with another ISP for several months to deliver a critical internet service for a major international sporting event, we were ultimately advised that the required upgrade was unlikely to be completed prior to event week. This left us facing a significant risk to service delivery. After exhausting all other options (and a few sleepless nights) we came across Summit Internet. From the initial conversation, Allan immediately understood the severity of the situation and quickly engaged his technical delivery team. Michael “Radar” was on site within days to assess and finalise a solution. Despite challenging conditions, including large trees and other obstructions, he worked tirelessly to design and implement an alternative approach. Leveraging an adjacent building, a temporary NBN connection, and a wireless link into the comms room, the solution was delivered within 24 hours of the initial site visit. Not only was the outcome faster than expected, but it was also more cost effective and delivered higher speeds than originally promised by the previous ISP. Over the course of the event, the service handled terabytes of data and supported hundreds of concurrent users without a single speed or performance issue. I cannot thank Summit Internet, particularly Allan and Radar enough for their exceptional service, technical expertise, and commitment to delivering under pressure. Highly recommended.Read more
