Lightning Broadband Fixed Wireless Ending? Don't Wait for the Switch-Off.
If your business connects over Lightning Broadband fixed wireless, now is the time to line up what comes next. Summit owns and runs its own business fixed wireless network across 500+ Melbourne suburbs, and we can have you connected in as little as 10 business days, or your first month is free.
- Talk to someone who can fix it, not just log it
- Internet, phones and mobile on one bill
- We tell you what you need, not what we would rather sell
The Connectivity Challenge
Lightning Broadband fixed wireless customers have been hearing that the network is being wound down. If you have received a notice, or you have heard the same talk we have, you are facing a question no business wants to answer under a deadline: what happens to our internet, our phones and our EFTPOS when the service stops?
The worst time to sort that out is the week before the cut-off, when every other affected business is calling around at once and installers are booked out. The best time is now, while you still have a working connection and room to choose properly.
Fixed wireless was the right call for your business in the first place. You chose it because it is fast to install, it does not depend on copper in the street, and it delivers speeds that NBN often cannot at a commercial address. None of that has changed. You simply need a fixed wireless network that is staying put. Summit has been building ours since August 2000, it is licensed under ACMA Carrier Licence #388, and it carries business traffic only.
How Summit Helps
-
Stay on Fixed Wireless, Not Back to NBN
You do not have to give up the technology that works for you. Summit's network uses the same rooftop-antenna approach you already know, so moving across is a like-for-like switch rather than a step backwards to a shared NBN connection.
-
Connected in 10 Business Days, Guaranteed
Our install guarantee is simple: your service is live within 10 business days of order, or your first month is free. When you are working to someone else's shutdown date, that certainty matters.
-
A Network We Own and Operate
Summit is a licensed carrier, not a reseller. We built the towers, the backhaul and the core network your connection runs on. When something needs attention, it is our own engineers who fix it, with no wholesaler in the middle.
-
Built Only for Business
There are no residential customers on our network. Capacity is planned around business hours, so your speeds hold up at 10am on a Tuesday, exactly when you need them.
-
Symmetric Speeds, From 10 Mbps to 10 Gbps
Cloud backups, video calls and VoIP all depend on upload speed. Summit offers symmetric options, so your uploads can match your downloads, with speeds that scale from 10 Mbps up to 10 Gbps as your business grows.
-
Bring Your Phones Across Too
If your phone lines are tied to your current connection, we can move those as well. Summit's Hosted PBX and SIP trunks run on the same network, and we port your existing numbers so your customers notice nothing.
-
Keep Trading With 4G Backup
Add automatic 4G failover and your EFTPOS, cloud systems and phones keep running even if the primary link is interrupted. For retailers, clinics and hospitality venues, it is cheap insurance.
-
One Provider, One Bill
Internet, phones, mobiles and backup from one carrier, on one invoice, with one team accountable for all of it. A forced change is a good moment to tidy up four suppliers into one.
How It Works
- 1 Check Your Address
Check Your Address
Enter your business address in our coverage checker or call us on 1300 049 749. We will tell you quickly whether our network reaches you, and if it does not, we will tell you what will.
- 2 Tell Us Your Deadline
Tell Us Your Deadline
Let us know when your current service ends. We plan your installation backwards from that date so your business moves across with no gap in service.
- 3 Site Survey and Install
Site Survey and Install
Our technicians confirm line of sight, mount a small antenna on your roof and connect it to your network. We install and own our own equipment, so there is nothing for you to buy.
- 4 Go Live, Then Cancel
Go Live, Then Cancel
We test your new connection and hand it over. Once you are happy it is working, you cancel your old service. No downtime, no scramble.
Not sure which option is right for your business?
Book a short call with one of our network specialists. Tell them how your business actually runs and they will tell you which access technology suits it, which ones do not, and why. If the cheaper option is the right one, they will say so.

As a reseller, we primarily work with Summit’s 4G services and have been very impressed. The plans are affordable, flexible, and well suited to our customers—especially for internet failover solutions. The sales and support teams are responsive and genuinely helpful, which is why we’re proud to partner with Summit Internet. We happily recommend them.Read more

After working with another ISP for several months to deliver a critical internet service for a major international sporting event, we were ultimately advised that the required upgrade was unlikely to be completed prior to event week. This left us facing a significant risk to service delivery. After exhausting all other options (and a few sleepless nights) we came across Summit Internet. From the initial conversation, Allan immediately understood the severity of the situation and quickly engaged his technical delivery team. Michael “Radar” was on site within days to assess and finalise a solution. Despite challenging conditions, including large trees and other obstructions, he worked tirelessly to design and implement an alternative approach. Leveraging an adjacent building, a temporary NBN connection, and a wireless link into the comms room, the solution was delivered within 24 hours of the initial site visit. Not only was the outcome faster than expected, but it was also more cost effective and delivered higher speeds than originally promised by the previous ISP. Over the course of the event, the service handled terabytes of data and supported hundreds of concurrent users without a single speed or performance issue. I cannot thank Summit Internet, particularly Allan and Radar enough for their exceptional service, technical expertise, and commitment to delivering under pressure. Highly recommended.Read more

Summit internet recently set my small business up with a local land line number and a soft phone that runs off an app on my mobile - getting my personal phone number off the internet and being able to distinguish between business and personal calls is a game changer. Whole process took less than a week, and is super cost effective. Highly recommend.Read more
