Overview
Inspired Communications is an Australian business telco founded in 2004, with offices in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane and Tasmania. Its business range covers hosted voice, SIP trunks, Microsoft Teams calling, 13, 1300 and 1800 inbound numbers, mobile, nbn, nbn Enterprise Ethernet and fibre Ethernet, fixed wireless and 4G mobile broadband.
Businesses review their provider for ordinary reasons. A contract is ending, the office is moving, the phone system is due for replacement, or you want internet and phones from one carrier that only serves businesses.
Summit Internet is an Australian carrier that has served businesses for 26 years. We build, own and operate our own network and supply business nbn, Ethernet over fibre, a cloud phone system, SIP trunks, Teams Calling and inbound numbers, all on one bill.
Summit Internet is an independent carrier and is not affiliated with Inspired Communications.
How Summit Helps
-
Hosted phone system with every feature included
Our Hosted PBX starts from $10 per user per month with auto attendant, ring groups, call queues, voicemail to email, call recording and mobile and desktop apps included. We can preconfigure handsets and ship them to your office.
-
SIP trunks for the phone system you already own
If your business runs its own PBX, our SIP trunks start from 2 channels and scale up or down as your call volume changes. You keep the hardware and change the lines behind it.
-
Microsoft Teams Calling
Already calling through Microsoft Teams? We connect Teams to the phone network with Direct Routing, so staff make and take calls on their existing numbers. Summit does not resell Microsoft licences, so you keep your current licensing arrangement. See Teams Calling.
-
1300 and 1800 numbers
Bring your 1300 or 1800 number across, or add a new one. We supply inbound numbers, and we also offer fax to email and on-hold messaging.
-
Business nbn with a static IP
Business nbn is available nationally with a static IP included, up to 2000/500 Mbps on full-fibre nbn. It suits offices that run a phone system, VPN or remote access.
-
Ethernet over fibre for larger sites
For sites that need dedicated fibre, Ethernet over fibre is available, backed by Summit's own network with Points of Presence in NEXTDC data centres and DDoS protection as standard.
-
Voice prioritised on your own connection
When your internet and phones are both with Summit, voice traffic is prioritised on the connection. Add 4G Backup and the service fails over automatically to Australia's biggest mobile network if the main link drops, then fails back.
-
Mobiles on the same bill
Business mobile SIM plans sit on the same account as your internet and phones, so there is one bill and one provider to call.

Port your numbers
We lodge the port with your existing provider. Keep your current service active until the port completes, because only active numbers can be ported. The ACMA says single local numbers generally port in 8 to 15 days, and multi-number ports can take up to 30 days.

Once your numbers and internet are live with Summit, you cancel the remaining services with your previous provider in line with your agreement.

We recently moved our dental practice over to Summit for phone services, and the experience has been excellent from start to finish. The team has been responsive, professional, and incredibly helpful throughout the entire setup process. The transition was smooth, any issues were addressed promptly, and communication was always clear and efficient. Reliable phones and internet are essential for a busy practice like ours, and Summit has delivered exactly that. A special thank you to Michael for his patience and ongoing assistance during the transition. Highly recommend Summit to any business looking for reliable service and great customer support.Read more

After working with another ISP for several months to deliver a critical internet service for a major international sporting event, we were ultimately advised that the required upgrade was unlikely to be completed prior to event week. This left us facing a significant risk to service delivery. After exhausting all other options (and a few sleepless nights) we came across Summit Internet. From the initial conversation, Allan immediately understood the severity of the situation and quickly engaged his technical delivery team. Michael “Radar” was on site within days to assess and finalise a solution. Despite challenging conditions, including large trees and other obstructions, he worked tirelessly to design and implement an alternative approach. Leveraging an adjacent building, a temporary NBN connection, and a wireless link into the comms room, the solution was delivered within 24 hours of the initial site visit. Not only was the outcome faster than expected, but it was also more cost effective and delivered higher speeds than originally promised by the previous ISP. Over the course of the event, the service handled terabytes of data and supported hundreds of concurrent users without a single speed or performance issue. I cannot thank Summit Internet, particularly Allan and Radar enough for their exceptional service, technical expertise, and commitment to delivering under pressure. Highly recommended.Read more

Summit internet recently set my small business up with a local land line number and a soft phone that runs off an app on my mobile - getting my personal phone number off the internet and being able to distinguish between business and personal calls is a game changer. Whole process took less than a week, and is super cost effective. Highly recommend.Read more
