Overview

innoTel is a 100% Australian owned telecommunications company serving small to medium businesses. It sells business phone plans, nbn phone, Hosted PBX and SIP trunks, 1300, 1800 and 13 numbers, fax to email, nbn and fibre business internet, business mobile, and cloud services such as Office 365, online backup and web hosting.

Businesses review their provider for ordinary reasons: a contract is ending, the office is moving, or they want internet and phones from one carrier that builds and runs its own network and deals only with businesses.

Summit offers business nbn with a static IP, Ethernet over fibre, fixed wireless across Melbourne and regional Victoria, a cloud phone system, SIP trunks, Microsoft Teams Calling and 1300/1800 numbers, all on a network we build, own and operate. Summit Internet is an independent carrier and is not affiliated with innoTel.

How Summit Helps

  • A Business-Only Carrier

Summit does not sell residential services. Every product, plan and support process is built around what businesses need, and we have been doing it for 26 years.

  • A Cloud Phone System With Every Feature Included

Hosted PBX starts from $10 per user per month and includes auto attendant, ring groups, call queues, voicemail to email, call recording and mobile and desktop apps. We can preconfigure your handsets and ship them to you.

  • SIP Trunks for the Phone System You Already Own

Keeping your existing PBX? SIP trunks start from 2 channels and scale up or down as your call volumes change.

  • Business nbn With a Static IP

Business nbn comes with a static IP included, with speeds up to 2000/500 Mbps on full-fibre nbn. For sites that need dedicated capacity, we offer Ethernet over fibre.

  • Fixed Wireless in Melbourne and Regional Victoria

If your premises is in our footprint, fixed wireless runs across 500+ suburbs with symmetric speeds from 10 Mbps up to 10 Gbps, installed in 10 business days or your first month is free.

  • 1300 and 1800 Numbers, Fax to Email and On-Hold

Bring your 1300 and 1800 numbers across, and keep fax to email and on-hold messaging alongside your phone system.

  • 4G Backup and Voice Priority

4G Backup fails over automatically to Australia's biggest mobile network, with 98.8% population coverage, and fails back automatically. When your internet is also with Summit, voice traffic is prioritised on the connection.

  • Internet, Phones and Mobile on One Bill

Add business mobile SIM plans and your internet, phones and mobiles sit with one carrier on one bill.

How It Works

  1. 1 Tell us what you have

Share your current services, phone numbers, number of users and any contract end dates, and we will map out the equivalent Summit services.

  2. 2 Get a quote

We recommend the right internet connection and phone setup for your sites and give you a clear quote.

  3. 3 Install and set up

We install your connection and configure your Hosted PBX, SIP trunks or Teams Calling, with handsets preconfigured if you need them.

  4. 4 Port your numbers

We lodge the port of your existing numbers. Keep your current service active until the port completes, because only active numbers can be ported. The ACMA says single local numbers generally port in 8 to 15 days, and multi-number ports can take up to 30 days.

  5. 5 Cancel the old services

Once your numbers are live with Summit, you can arrange to cancel the old services with your previous provider.

  • After working with another ISP for several months to deliver a critical internet service for a major international sporting event, we were ultimately advised that the required upgrade was unlikely to be completed prior to event week. This left us facing a significant risk to service delivery. After exhausting all other options (and a few sleepless nights) we came across Summit Internet. From the initial conversation, Allan immediately understood the severity of the situation and quickly engaged his technical delivery team. Michael “Radar” was on site within days to assess and finalise a solution. Despite challenging conditions, including large trees and other obstructions, he worked tirelessly to design and implement an alternative approach. Leveraging an adjacent building, a temporary NBN connection, and a wireless link into the comms room, the solution was delivered within 24 hours of the initial site visit. Not only was the outcome faster than expected, but it was also more cost effective and delivered higher speeds than originally promised by the previous ISP. Over the course of the event, the service handled terabytes of data and supported hundreds of concurrent users without a single speed or performance issue. I cannot thank Summit Internet, particularly Allan and Radar enough for their exceptional service, technical expertise, and commitment to delivering under pressure. Highly recommended.Read more

Frequently asked questions

Is Summit Internet part of innoTel?
No. Summit Internet is an independent Australian carrier holding ACMA Carrier Licence #388. We are not affiliated with innoTel.
Why switch if my innoTel service is working?
If your current services do everything you need, there may be no reason to change. Businesses usually look at Summit when a contract is ending, when they are moving office, or when they want internet and phones from one business-only carrier on its own network.
Will I have to pay to break my contract?
That depends on your agreement with innoTel. Check your contract terms, and if possible time your switch to your contract end date. We can plan the installation around it.
Can I keep my phone numbers?
Yes, existing numbers can be ported to Summit, including 1300 and 1800 numbers. Keep your current service active until the port completes, because only active numbers can be ported. The ACMA says single local numbers generally port in 8 to 15 days, and multi-number ports can take up to 30 days.
I use innoTel's Hosted PBX. What would I move to?
Summit's Hosted PBX is a cloud phone system from $10 per user per month with auto attendant, ring groups, call queues, voicemail to email, call recording and mobile and desktop apps included.
I have my own phone system on SIP trunks. Can I keep it?
Yes. Summit SIP trunks connect to your existing phone system, starting from 2 channels and scaling up or down as needed.
Does Summit sell Microsoft 365 licences?
No. Summit does not resell Microsoft licences. We provide Microsoft Teams Calling via Direct Routing, so you can keep your licences with your current supplier and make calls through Teams.
What internet can Summit provide?
Business nbn with a static IP included nationally, Ethernet over fibre, 4G Static IP, and fixed wireless in Melbourne and regional Victoria. You can check what is available at your address on our coverage page.
