Overview

Hubify is an ASX-listed telco and IT services company, formerly known as United Networks, based in Macquarie Park, Sydney. It sells business connectivity alongside managed IT and cyber security, including enterprise nbn and fibre connections, WANs, cloud telephony and voice, and mobile services.

Plenty of businesses review their providers at natural moments: a contract coming to an end, a move to new premises, a new branch, or a decision to split connectivity away from IT support so each can be chosen on its own merits. Others want their internet and phones from the carrier that actually runs the network carrying them.

Summit Internet builds, owns and operates its own network, with Points of Presence in NEXTDC data centres and DDoS protection as standard. We supply business nbn with a static IP included, Ethernet over fibre, a hosted phone system, SIP trunks and business mobile plans, all on one bill.

Summit Internet is an independent carrier and is not affiliated with Hubify.

How Summit Helps

  • Business nbn with a static IP included

Our business nbn plans are available nationally and include a static IP at no extra charge. On full-fibre nbn, speeds go up to 2000/500 Mbps.

  • Ethernet over fibre for sites that need more

For offices that have outgrown nbn, Ethernet over fibre gives you a business-grade fibre connection on our own network. It suits head offices, multi-site businesses and anyone running critical systems in the cloud.

  • A cloud phone system with every feature included

Our Hosted PBX starts from $10 per user per month with auto attendant, ring groups, call queues, voicemail to email, call recording and mobile and desktop apps all included. Handsets can be preconfigured and shipped ready to plug in.

  • SIP trunks for the phone system you already own

If your business already has an on-premises or cloud PBX, our SIP trunks connect it to the network. Start from 2 channels and scale up or down as your call volumes change.

  • Teams Calling through Direct Routing

If your staff live in Microsoft Teams, Teams Calling via Direct Routing lets them make and take calls on your business numbers from Teams. Summit does not resell Microsoft licences, so you keep your existing Microsoft arrangement.

  • Voice traffic prioritised on our network

When your internet connection is also Summit's, voice traffic is prioritised with QoS. Your calls and your data travel on one network managed by one carrier.

  • 4G Backup for when the line drops

4G Backup fails over automatically to Australia's biggest mobile network, with 98.8% population coverage, and fails back automatically once your main service returns.

  • Internet, phones and mobile on one bill

Bring your connectivity, phone system, 1300 and 1800 numbers and business mobile SIMs together under one account, with one bill each month.

How It Works

  1. 1 Tell us what you have

Share your current services, such as nbn or fibre connections, phone numbers, handsets and mobile SIMs, along with your contract end date.

  2. 2 Get a tailored quote

We recommend the right mix of internet, voice and mobile for each site and give you a clear quote.

  3. 3 Install your new connection

We set up your Summit internet service and, if you are moving to Hosted PBX, preconfigure and ship your handsets.

  4. 4 Port your numbers

We lodge the port for your existing numbers. Keep your old service active until the port completes, because only active numbers can be ported. The ACMA says single local numbers generally port in 8 to 15 days, and multi-number ports can take up to 30 days.

  5. 5 Cancel the old services

Once your numbers are live with Summit and everything is working, you cancel your remaining services with your previous provider.

  • After working with another ISP for several months to deliver a critical internet service for a major international sporting event, we were ultimately advised that the required upgrade was unlikely to be completed prior to event week. This left us facing a significant risk to service delivery. After exhausting all other options (and a few sleepless nights) we came across Summit Internet. From the initial conversation, Allan immediately understood the severity of the situation and quickly engaged his technical delivery team. Michael “Radar” was on site within days to assess and finalise a solution. Despite challenging conditions, including large trees and other obstructions, he worked tirelessly to design and implement an alternative approach. Leveraging an adjacent building, a temporary NBN connection, and a wireless link into the comms room, the solution was delivered within 24 hours of the initial site visit. Not only was the outcome faster than expected, but it was also more cost effective and delivered higher speeds than originally promised by the previous ISP. Over the course of the event, the service handled terabytes of data and supported hundreds of concurrent users without a single speed or performance issue. I cannot thank Summit Internet, particularly Allan and Radar enough for their exceptional service, technical expertise, and commitment to delivering under pressure. Highly recommended.Read more

Frequently asked questions

Is Summit Internet part of Hubify?
No. Summit Internet is an independent Australian carrier holding ACMA Carrier Licence #388, and it is not affiliated with Hubify in any way.
Why switch if my Hubify service is working?
If your current services do everything your business needs, there may be no reason to change. Businesses usually review their provider when a contract is ending, when they move or add a site, or when they want internet, phones and mobile from one carrier that runs its own network.
Will I have to pay to break my contract?
That depends on the terms of your agreement with your current provider. Check your contract end date and any early termination fees, and we can time the switch to line up with the end of your contract.
Can I keep my phone numbers?
Yes, existing numbers can be ported to Summit. Keep your current service active until the port is complete, because only active numbers can be ported. The ACMA says single local numbers generally port in 8 to 15 days, while multi-number ports can take up to 30 days.
Can I keep my existing phone system?
If you own a PBX you are happy with, our SIP trunks can connect it to our network. If you would rather move to the cloud, our Hosted PBX replaces it with a fully featured cloud phone system.
Do you offer business nbn outside Victoria?
Yes. Our business nbn is available nationally with a static IP included. Our fixed wireless network covers Melbourne and regional Victoria only.
Can I move my business mobiles as well?
Yes. Summit offers business mobile SIM plans, so your mobiles can sit on the same bill as your internet and phones.
What if my internet goes down?
Add 4G Backup and your connection fails over automatically to Australia's biggest mobile network, then fails back once your main service is restored.
Do I have to move my IT support to Summit?
No. Summit supplies internet, voice and mobile. You can keep your existing IT support arrangements, whoever provides them.
