Overview

FlexrUC, the trading name of Flexr Pty Ltd, sells business communications built around Microsoft Teams. Its range includes Teams calling through Operator Connect and Direct Routing, 1300, 1800 and other inbound numbers, an AI voice assistant, the CC4Teams contact centre, business mobile plans, mobile broadband and add-ons such as eFax, an SMS gateway and call recording. It focuses on sectors including banking and finance, local councils, legal, education and not-for-profits.

Businesses review their phone provider for plenty of reasons: a contract is ending, the team is moving office, or they want their phones and the internet connection those phones depend on to come from one carrier that deals only with businesses.

Summit offers Microsoft Teams Calling through Direct Routing, a cloud phone system, SIP trunks and 1300 and 1800 numbers, plus business nbn with a static IP, 4G backup and business mobiles, all on a network we build, own and operate. Summit Internet is an independent carrier and is not affiliated with FlexrUC.

How Summit Helps

  • Microsoft Teams Calling

Teams Calling connects Microsoft Teams to the phone network through Direct Routing, so your staff make and take calls on their business numbers from inside Teams. We do not resell Microsoft licences, so you keep buying them as you do now.

  • 1300 and 1800 Numbers

Keep the inbound numbers your customers already call. Summit provides 1300 and 1800 numbers and can port your existing ones across, with on-hold messaging available.

  • A Cloud Phone System if Teams Is Not for Everyone

Not every team member works in Teams all day. Hosted PBX starts from $10 per user per month and includes auto attendant and IVR, ring groups, call queues, voicemail to email, call recording and mobile and desktop apps, with every feature included.

  • Fax to Email

If your office still receives the occasional fax, Summit's fax to email service delivers it straight to an inbox, so there is no fax machine to keep running.

  • Business nbn With a Static IP

Business nbn is available nationally with a static IP included, at up to 2000/500 Mbps on full-fibre nbn. When your internet connection is also Summit's, voice traffic is prioritised so calls stay clear when the line is busy.

  • 4G Backup That Fails Over Automatically

4G Backup switches your connection to Australia's biggest mobile network, with 98.8% population coverage, if your main link drops, then fails back automatically when it returns.

  • Business Mobiles on the Same Bill

Business mobile SIM plans sit alongside your phones and internet, so internet, phones and mobile come on one bill.

  • A Business-Only Carrier

Summit does not sell residential services. We work only with businesses, and we have been doing it for 26 years.

How It Works

  1. 1 Talk to us about how you call today

Tell us how your team uses Teams calling, which inbound numbers you rely on and which add-ons matter, and we will recommend the right mix of Teams Calling, Hosted PBX and internet.

  2. 2 Get a clear quote

We put your phones, numbers, internet and mobiles into one written quote so you can compare it against your current agreement and plan the timing.

  3. 3 Set up and test

We configure Direct Routing for your Teams tenant, or set up your Hosted PBX users and handsets, and test everything before any numbers move.

  4. 4 Port your numbers

We lodge the port for your existing numbers. Keep your FlexrUC service active until the port completes, because only active numbers can be ported. The ACMA says single local numbers generally port in 8 to 15 days, and ports involving multiple numbers can take up to 30 days.

  5. 5 Cancel the old service

Once your numbers are live with Summit and calls are working, you can cancel the services you no longer need with FlexrUC.

  • After working with another ISP for several months to deliver a critical internet service for a major international sporting event, we were ultimately advised that the required upgrade was unlikely to be completed prior to event week. This left us facing a significant risk to service delivery. After exhausting all other options (and a few sleepless nights) we came across Summit Internet. From the initial conversation, Allan immediately understood the severity of the situation and quickly engaged his technical delivery team. Michael “Radar” was on site within days to assess and finalise a solution. Despite challenging conditions, including large trees and other obstructions, he worked tirelessly to design and implement an alternative approach. Leveraging an adjacent building, a temporary NBN connection, and a wireless link into the comms room, the solution was delivered within 24 hours of the initial site visit. Not only was the outcome faster than expected, but it was also more cost effective and delivered higher speeds than originally promised by the previous ISP. Over the course of the event, the service handled terabytes of data and supported hundreds of concurrent users without a single speed or performance issue. I cannot thank Summit Internet, particularly Allan and Radar enough for their exceptional service, technical expertise, and commitment to delivering under pressure. Highly recommended.Read more

Frequently asked questions

Is Summit Internet part of FlexrUC?
No. Summit Internet is an independent Australian carrier holding ACMA Carrier Licence #388. We are not affiliated with FlexrUC or Flexr Pty Ltd.
Why switch if my FlexrUC service is working?
If your current service does everything your business needs, there may be no reason to change. Businesses usually look at Summit when a contract is ending, when they move office, or when they want their phones and internet from one business-only carrier.
Will I have to pay to break my contract?
That depends on your agreement with FlexrUC, so check its terms before you switch. Many businesses time the move to line up with the end of their contract.
Can I keep my phone numbers?
Yes, in most cases your existing numbers, including 1300 and 1800 numbers, can be ported to Summit. Keep your current service active until the port completes, because only active numbers can be ported. The ACMA says single local numbers generally port in 8 to 15 days, and ports involving multiple numbers can take up to 30 days.
Can I keep calling from Microsoft Teams?
Yes. Summit connects Teams to the phone network through Direct Routing, so your staff keep calling from Teams on their business numbers. Summit does not resell Microsoft licences, so you keep your existing licensing arrangement.
What if some staff do not use Teams?
You can mix services. Staff who live in Teams can use Teams Calling, while reception or warehouse staff can use Hosted PBX with desk phones or the mobile and desktop apps.
Do you provide internet as well as phones?
Yes. Summit provides business nbn nationally with a static IP included, Ethernet over fibre, 4G Static IP and 4G Backup. When your internet is also Summit's, voice traffic is prioritised.
Can you supply desk phones?
Yes. For Hosted PBX users, we can preconfigure handsets and ship them to you.
Can I get business mobiles from Summit?
Yes. Summit offers business mobile SIM plans, so your internet, phones and mobiles can sit on one bill.
