Overview

Falcore describes itself as an Australian-owned, independent telecommunications carrier. It sells business fibre Ethernet, nbn Enterprise and Business services, dark fibre and wavelengths, 4G/5G wireless failover, hosted PBX, SIP trunking, Microsoft Teams Direct Routing, colocation and private cloud, with core infrastructure in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth and Adelaide.

Businesses review their telco for ordinary reasons. A contract is coming to an end, the office is moving, a new site needs connecting, or the team would rather have internet, phones and mobile from a single business-only carrier. If you are at one of those points, it is worth comparing your options before you renew.

Summit has been connecting Australian businesses for 26 years. We build, own and operate our own network, with Points of Presence in NEXTDC data centres and DDoS protection as standard. We can take over your business nbn and Ethernet over fibre links, add 4G Backup and move your voice onto SIP trunks or a hosted phone system.

Summit Internet is an independent carrier and is not affiliated with Falcore.

How Summit Helps

  • Business nbn with a static IP included

Every Summit business nbn service comes with a static IP. On full-fibre nbn you can go up to 2000/500 Mbps, available for Australian businesses nationally.

  • Ethernet over fibre for sites that need more

For offices and sites that outgrow nbn, Summit delivers Ethernet over fibre. Tell us your sites and requirements and we will quote the right fit.

  • 4G Backup that fails over automatically

4G Backup switches your connection to Australia's biggest mobile network, with 98.8% population coverage, if your primary link drops. When the main service returns, it fails back automatically.

  • Fixed wireless in Melbourne and regional Victoria

If you have offices in Melbourne or regional Victoria, Summit fixed wireless may also be an option. Check your coverage to see if your address is on our network.

  • SIP trunks for your existing phone system

Keep your current PBX and move its lines to Summit SIP trunks. Start from 2 channels and scale up or down as your call volumes change.

  • Hosted PBX or Teams calling

Prefer a cloud phone system? Summit Hosted PBX starts from $10 per user per month with every feature included. If your team lives in Microsoft Teams, we provide Teams Calling via Direct Routing.

  • Voice prioritised on your Summit connection

When your internet and phones are both with Summit, voice traffic is prioritised with QoS, so calls are not competing with large downloads and backups.

  • One business-only carrier, one bill

Summit does not sell residential services. Internet, phones and business mobile sit on one bill with one carrier to call.

How It Works

  1. 1 Tell us what you have

List your current Falcore services, sites and contract end dates, for example business nbn, fibre Ethernet links and SIP trunks.

  2. 2 Get a tailored quote

We recommend the right mix of nbn, Ethernet over fibre, fixed wireless where available, and 4G Backup, plus voice if you need it.

  3. 3 Plan the cutover

We schedule installation around your contract end and business hours so the new service is up before the old one goes.

  4. 4 Port your numbers if you are moving voice

Keep your existing Falcore phone service active until the port completes, because only active numbers can be ported. The ACMA says single local numbers generally port in 8 to 15 days, and multi-number ports can take up to 30 days.

  5. 5 Go live and cancel the old services

Once everything is tested and working on Summit, you cancel the remaining services with your previous provider.

  • After working with another ISP for several months to deliver a critical internet service for a major international sporting event, we were ultimately advised that the required upgrade was unlikely to be completed prior to event week. This left us facing a significant risk to service delivery. After exhausting all other options (and a few sleepless nights) we came across Summit Internet. From the initial conversation, Allan immediately understood the severity of the situation and quickly engaged his technical delivery team. Michael “Radar” was on site within days to assess and finalise a solution. Despite challenging conditions, including large trees and other obstructions, he worked tirelessly to design and implement an alternative approach. Leveraging an adjacent building, a temporary NBN connection, and a wireless link into the comms room, the solution was delivered within 24 hours of the initial site visit. Not only was the outcome faster than expected, but it was also more cost effective and delivered higher speeds than originally promised by the previous ISP. Over the course of the event, the service handled terabytes of data and supported hundreds of concurrent users without a single speed or performance issue. I cannot thank Summit Internet, particularly Allan and Radar enough for their exceptional service, technical expertise, and commitment to delivering under pressure. Highly recommended.Read more

  • Summit internet recently set my small business up with a local land line number and a soft phone that runs off an app on my mobile - getting my personal phone number off the internet and being able to distinguish between business and personal calls is a game changer. Frequently asked questions

Is Summit Internet part of Falcore?
No. Summit Internet is an independent Australian carrier holding ACMA Carrier Licence #388. We are not affiliated with Falcore in any way.
Why switch if my Falcore service is working?
If your current services do everything you need, there may be no reason to change. Businesses usually review their provider when a contract is ending, they are moving or adding sites, or they want internet, phones and mobile from one business-only carrier.
Will I have to pay to break my contract?
That depends on your agreement with Falcore. Check your contract terms, and if there is a break fee, we can plan the switch to line up with your contract end date.
Can Summit replace my fibre Ethernet link?
Summit delivers Ethernet over fibre for business sites. Send us the site addresses and the bandwidth you need and we will confirm what we can provide.
Do Summit nbn services include a static IP?
Yes. Every Summit business nbn service includes a static IP, with speeds up to 2000/500 Mbps on full-fibre nbn.
Can I keep my phone numbers if I move my voice to Summit?
Yes, existing numbers can be ported to Summit. Keep your current service active until the port completes, because only active numbers can be ported. The ACMA says single local numbers generally port in 8 to 15 days and multi-number ports can take up to 30 days.
Can I keep my existing phone system?
Yes. Summit SIP trunks connect to existing phone systems, starting from 2 channels. If you would rather move to the cloud, we offer Hosted PBX and Teams Calling.
Is Summit's fixed wireless available at my address?
Summit fixed wireless covers Melbourne and regional Victoria only. Check your coverage to see if your address is on our network. Business nbn and Ethernet over fibre are available more widely.
What happens if my internet goes down?
With 4G Backup, your connection fails over automatically to Australia's biggest mobile network and fails back when the primary link returns.
