Overview
Wholesalecomms, powered by the Eco Communications team and still known to many customers as EcoComms, is a telecommunications provider with its head office in the Kon-Tiki Building, Maroochydore, on Queensland's Sunshine Coast. It sells to small and medium businesses: SIP, cloud and hybrid voice, cloud phone systems, internet over nbn, FTTP, fibre and 5G, wholesale SIM plans and an optional network security package. The ecocomms.com.au address now forwards to the Wholesalecomms website.
Businesses review their provider for ordinary reasons: a contract is coming to an end, the business is moving office or opening a new site, or they want internet and phones from one carrier that builds its own network and deals only with businesses.
Summit offers business nbn with a static IP, Ethernet over fibre, a cloud phone system, SIP trunks for existing phone systems, Microsoft Teams Calling and business mobile plans, all on a network we build, own and operate. Summit Internet is an independent carrier and is not affiliated with EcoComms or Wholesalecomms.
How Summit Helps
-
A Business-Only Carrier
Summit does not sell residential services. We deal only with businesses, and we have been doing it for 26 years.
-
Business nbn With a Static IP
Business nbn is available nationally with a static IP included, at up to 2000/500 Mbps on full-fibre nbn.
-
Ethernet Over Fibre for Busier Sites
For sites that need more than nbn, Summit also provides Ethernet over fibre. DDoS protection comes as standard across our network.
-
A Cloud Phone System With Every Feature Included
Summit's Hosted PBX starts from $10 per user per month with auto attendant, ring groups, call queues, voicemail to email, call recording and mobile and desktop apps all included. We can preconfigure handsets and ship them to you.
-
SIP Trunks for the Phone System You Already Own
If you run your own phone system on SIP, Summit SIP trunks start from 2 channels and scale up or down as your call volumes change.
-
Teams Calling and 1300 Numbers
Make and take calls in Microsoft Teams through Teams Calling via Direct Routing, using your existing Microsoft licences. We also provide 1300 and 1800 numbers, fax to email and on-hold messaging.
-
4G Backup and Business Mobiles
4G Backup fails over automatically to Australia's biggest mobile network, with 98.8% population coverage, and fails back when your main link returns. Add business mobile SIM plans to the same bill.
-
Voice Prioritised on Your Own Line
When your internet connection is also Summit's, voice traffic is prioritised with QoS, so calls are not competing with downloads. Internet, phones and mobiles arrive on one bill.
How It Works
- 1 Tell us what you have
Tell us what you have
Send us a recent bill or a list of your services: internet connections, phone numbers, phone system, SIP channels and mobiles. We map each one to its Summit equivalent.
- 2 Get a clear quote
Get a clear quote
We recommend the right connection and voice setup for each site and give you a written quote. Check your current agreement so the switch lines up with your contract end date.
- 3 We install and set up
We install and set up
We order your internet, configure your Hosted PBX or SIP trunks and preconfigure handsets so they are ready to plug in.
- 4 Port your numbers
Port your numbers
We lodge the port to bring your existing numbers across. Keep your current service active until the port completes, because only active numbers can be ported. The ACMA says single local numbers generally port in 8 to 15 days, and multi-number ports can take up to 30 days.
- 5 Cancel the old services
Cancel the old services
Once your numbers are live on Summit and everything is tested, you cancel the remaining services with your previous provider.

We recently moved our dental practice over to Summit for phone services, and the experience has been excellent from start to finish. The team has been responsive, professional, and incredibly helpful throughout the entire setup process. The transition was smooth, any issues were addressed promptly, and communication was always clear and efficient. Reliable phones and internet are essential for a busy practice like ours, and Summit has delivered exactly that. A special thank you to Michael for his patience and ongoing assistance during the transition. Highly recommend Summit to any business looking for reliable service and great customer support.Read more

After working with another ISP for several months to deliver a critical internet service for a major international sporting event, we were ultimately advised that the required upgrade was unlikely to be completed prior to event week. This left us facing a significant risk to service delivery. After exhausting all other options (and a few sleepless nights) we came across Summit Internet. From the initial conversation, Allan immediately understood the severity of the situation and quickly engaged his technical delivery team. Michael “Radar” was on site within days to assess and finalise a solution. Despite challenging conditions, including large trees and other obstructions, he worked tirelessly to design and implement an alternative approach. Leveraging an adjacent building, a temporary NBN connection, and a wireless link into the comms room, the solution was delivered within 24 hours of the initial site visit. Not only was the outcome faster than expected, but it was also more cost effective and delivered higher speeds than originally promised by the previous ISP. Over the course of the event, the service handled terabytes of data and supported hundreds of concurrent users without a single speed or performance issue. I cannot thank Summit Internet, particularly Allan and Radar enough for their exceptional service, technical expertise, and commitment to delivering under pressure. Highly recommended.Read more

Summit internet recently set my small business up with a local land line number and a soft phone that runs off an app on my mobile - getting my personal phone number off the internet and being able to distinguish between business and personal calls is a game changer. Whole process took less than a week, and is super cost effective. Highly recommend.Read more
