Overview
ECN started out as ECN Internet in 1995 and has grown into the ECN Group, the company behind the myCloudPBX hosted phone system, which it develops in Brisbane. Its Cadiz³ brand sells business voice, data and managed services to direct customers, while Channel Haus, its wholesale business unit, supplies myCloudPBX, Business SIP and data connectivity to wholesale customers.
If your business runs on myCloudPBX, SIP or a data service from one of these brands, there are good reasons to review it from time to time: a contract coming to an end, an office move, a new phone system, or simply wanting your internet and phones from one carrier that only works with businesses.
Summit offers a cloud phone system, SIP trunks for existing phone systems and business nbn with a static IP, all on a network we build, own and operate. Internet, phones and mobile can sit on one bill, with voice traffic prioritised when your connection is also ours.
Summit Internet is an independent carrier and is not affiliated with ECN, Cadiz³ or Channel Haus.
How Summit Helps
-
A cloud phone system with every feature included
Our Hosted PBX starts from $10 per user per month, with auto attendant, ring groups, call queues, voicemail to email, call recording and mobile and desktop apps included. Every feature is included, with no feature tiers.
-
SIP trunks if you are keeping your phone system
If you own an on-premises PBX, our SIP trunks connect it to the phone network. Start from 2 channels and scale up or down as your call volumes change.
-
Keep your existing numbers
We port your existing numbers across, including 1300 and 1800 numbers. Your callers keep dialling the same numbers they always have.
-
Business nbn with a static IP included
Business nbn is available nationally with a static IP included, at speeds up to 2000/500 Mbps on full-fibre nbn. For sites that need more, we also offer Ethernet over fibre.
-
Voice quality you can plan around
When your internet and phones are both with Summit, voice traffic is prioritised across the connection. That helps keep calls clear when someone is uploading large files at the same time.
-
4G Backup for when the main link drops
4G Backup fails over automatically to Australia's biggest mobile network, with 98.8% population coverage, and fails back once your main service returns.
-
Microsoft Teams, fax and on-hold handled too
We connect Microsoft Teams Calling through Direct Routing, using the Microsoft licences you already have. Fax to email and on-hold messaging are available as well.
How It Works
- 1 Tell us what you have
Tell us what you have
Send us a recent bill or a list of your services, numbers, handsets and contract end date, and we will map out the equivalent Summit services.
- 2 Get a quote and a plan
Get a quote and a plan
We recommend a hosted PBX or SIP trunks, plus the right internet connection, and schedule the switch to suit your contract.
- 3 Set up before anything moves
Set up before anything moves
We build your call flows and can preconfigure and ship handsets, so your new system is ready before the cutover.
- 4 Port your numbers
Port your numbers
We lodge the port of your existing numbers. Keep your current service active until the port completes, because only active numbers can be ported. The ACMA says single local numbers generally port in 8 to 15 days, and multi-number ports can take up to 30 days.
- 5 Cut over and cancel
Cut over and cancel
Once your numbers are live on Summit and calls are working, you can cancel your old services with your previous provider.

We recently moved our dental practice over to Summit for phone services, and the experience has been excellent from start to finish. The team has been responsive, professional, and incredibly helpful throughout the entire setup process. The transition was smooth, any issues were addressed promptly, and communication was always clear and efficient. Reliable phones and internet are essential for a busy practice like ours, and Summit has delivered exactly that. A special thank you to Michael for his patience and ongoing assistance during the transition. Highly recommend Summit to any business looking for reliable service and great customer support.Read more

After working with another ISP for several months to deliver a critical internet service for a major international sporting event, we were ultimately advised that the required upgrade was unlikely to be completed prior to event week. This left us facing a significant risk to service delivery. After exhausting all other options (and a few sleepless nights) we came across Summit Internet. From the initial conversation, Allan immediately understood the severity of the situation and quickly engaged his technical delivery team. Michael “Radar” was on site within days to assess and finalise a solution. Despite challenging conditions, including large trees and other obstructions, he worked tirelessly to design and implement an alternative approach. Leveraging an adjacent building, a temporary NBN connection, and a wireless link into the comms room, the solution was delivered within 24 hours of the initial site visit. Not only was the outcome faster than expected, but it was also more cost effective and delivered higher speeds than originally promised by the previous ISP. Over the course of the event, the service handled terabytes of data and supported hundreds of concurrent users without a single speed or performance issue. I cannot thank Summit Internet, particularly Allan and Radar enough for their exceptional service, technical expertise, and commitment to delivering under pressure. Highly recommended.Read more

Summit internet recently set my small business up with a local land line number and a soft phone that runs off an app on my mobile - getting my personal phone number off the internet and being able to distinguish between business and personal calls is a game changer. Whole process took less than a week, and is super cost effective. Highly recommend.Read more
