Overview

Dialplan is a Perth-based communications provider that focuses on small, medium and enterprise businesses in Western Australia. It sells business nbn internet plans and a cloud-hosted business phone system priced per extension, with Yealink handsets and accessories.

Businesses review their provider for all sorts of reasons: a contract or plan is up for review, they are moving office or opening a site interstate, they want internet and phones from one carrier, or they want a provider that deals only with businesses.

Summit offers a cloud phone system, SIP trunks for the phone system you already own, inbound numbers and Microsoft Teams Calling, together with business nbn with a static IP available nationally and Ethernet over fibre, from a carrier that builds, owns and operates its own network. Summit Internet is an independent carrier and is not affiliated with Dialplan.

How Summit Helps

  • A Business-Only Carrier

Summit does not sell residential services. We have been working only with businesses for 26 years.

  • A Cloud Phone System With Every Feature Included

Hosted PBX starts from $10 per user per month and includes auto attendant, ring groups, call queues, voicemail to email, call recording and mobile and desktop apps. We can preconfigure your handsets and ship them to you.

  • SIP Trunks for the Phone System You Already Own

If you would rather run your own phone system, SIP trunks start from 2 channels and scale up or down as your call volumes change.

  • Business nbn With a Static IP, Nationally

Business nbn is available across Australia with a static IP included, with speeds up to 2000/500 Mbps on full-fibre nbn. For sites that need dedicated capacity, we offer Ethernet over fibre.

  • Voice Prioritised on Your Own Carrier's Network

When your internet connection is also Summit's, voice traffic is prioritised with QoS. Our network has Points of Presence in NEXTDC data centres and DDoS protection as standard.

  • 4G Backup for When the Line Drops

4G Backup fails over automatically to Australia's biggest mobile network, with 98.8% population coverage, and fails back automatically when your main service returns.

  • 1300 and 1800 Numbers

Present a national number to your customers with 1300 and 1800 inbound numbers, with on-hold messaging and fax to email available too.

  • Mobiles, Teams and One Bill

Add business mobile SIM plans or Microsoft Teams Calling via Direct Routing. Internet, phones and mobile arrive on one bill.

How It Works

  1. 1 Tell us what you have

List your Dialplan services, such as your cloud phone extensions, handsets, phone numbers and business nbn connection, and when your current terms end.

  2. 2 Get a quote

We recommend the right mix of phones, internet and backup for each site and send you a written quote.

  3. 3 Install and set up

We connect your internet and configure your phone system, with handsets preconfigured and shipped if you need them.

  4. 4 Port your numbers

We port your existing numbers across. Keep your Dialplan service active until the port completes, because only active numbers can be ported. The ACMA says single local numbers generally port in 8 to 15 days, and multi-number ports can take up to 30 days.

  5. 5 Cancel once you are live

When your numbers have moved and everything is working, you cancel the old services.

  • After working with another ISP for several months to deliver a critical internet service for a major international sporting event, we were ultimately advised that the required upgrade was unlikely to be completed prior to event week. This left us facing a significant risk to service delivery. After exhausting all other options (and a few sleepless nights) we came across Summit Internet. From the initial conversation, Allan immediately understood the severity of the situation and quickly engaged his technical delivery team. Michael “Radar” was on site within days to assess and finalise a solution. Despite challenging conditions, including large trees and other obstructions, he worked tirelessly to design and implement an alternative approach. Leveraging an adjacent building, a temporary NBN connection, and a wireless link into the comms room, the solution was delivered within 24 hours of the initial site visit. Not only was the outcome faster than expected, but it was also more cost effective and delivered higher speeds than originally promised by the previous ISP. Over the course of the event, the service handled terabytes of data and supported hundreds of concurrent users without a single speed or performance issue. I cannot thank Summit Internet, particularly Allan and Radar enough for their exceptional service, technical expertise, and commitment to delivering under pressure. Highly recommended.Read more

Frequently asked questions

Is Summit Internet part of Dialplan?
No. Summit Internet is an independent Australian carrier holding ACMA Carrier Licence #388. We are not affiliated with Dialplan.
Why switch if my Dialplan service is working?
If your current services do everything you need, there may be no reason to switch. Businesses usually talk to us when a contract or plan is up for review, when they are moving office or adding sites, or when they want internet and phones from one carrier that deals only with businesses.
Will I have to pay to break my contract?
That depends on your agreement with Dialplan. Check your terms, and we can time your switch to line up with your contract end date.
Can I keep my phone numbers?
Yes, existing numbers can be ported to Summit, including 1300 and 1800 numbers. Keep your current service active until the port completes, because only active numbers can be ported. The ACMA says single local numbers generally port in 8 to 15 days, and multi-number ports can take up to 30 days.
Do I need new handsets?
Tell us what handsets you have now and we will advise as part of your quote. Where new handsets are needed, we can preconfigure them and ship them to you, ready to plug in.
Do you offer business nbn in Western Australia?
Yes. Our business nbn is available nationally with a static IP included, and speeds up to 2000/500 Mbps on full-fibre nbn.
Do you offer fixed wireless?
Summit's fixed wireless covers Melbourne and regional Victoria only. If you have a Victorian site, check your coverage to see what is available there.
Can I use Microsoft Teams for calls?
Yes. Teams Calling connects Teams to the phone network through Direct Routing. Summit does not resell Microsoft licences, so you keep buying those as you do now.
