Overview
Com2 Communications is a Brisbane-based business telecommunications provider that started in 2000 as a Telstra business dealership. It sells business phone systems, including hosted and Microsoft Teams phone systems, along with VoIP and SIP trunking, inbound numbers, nbn and fibre internet, and mobile services to businesses.
Businesses review their telco for ordinary reasons: a contract is coming to an end, the office is moving, the phone system is due for replacement, or they would rather have internet, phones and mobile from a single carrier that owns the network underneath them.
Summit Internet is a business-only carrier that has been in business for 26 years and builds, owns and operates its own network. We supply business nbn with a static IP, Ethernet over fibre, a cloud phone system, SIP trunks for the phone system you already have, Microsoft Teams Calling and business mobile plans.
Summit Internet is an independent carrier and is not affiliated with Com2 Communications.
How Summit Helps
-
Internet and phones from one carrier
Summit's internet, voice and mobile services sit on one bill. When your internet connection is also Summit's, voice traffic is prioritised so calls stay clear when the line is busy.
-
A cloud phone system with every feature included
Hosted PBX starts from $10 per user per month with auto attendant, ring groups, call queues, voicemail to email, call recording and mobile and desktop apps all included. Handsets can be preconfigured and shipped to you.
-
SIP trunks for the phone system you already own
If your on-premises phone system still does the job, connect it to Summit SIP trunks. Start from 2 channels and scale up or down as your call volume changes.
-
Microsoft Teams Calling
Make and take external calls in Teams through Direct Routing on Summit's voice network. You keep your existing Microsoft licences, as Summit does not resell them.
-
Business nbn with a static IP
Business nbn is available nationally with a static IP included, at up to 2000/500 Mbps on full-fibre nbn. Where you need dedicated capacity, Ethernet over fibre is available too.
-
1300 and 1800 numbers
Keep your inbound 1300 and 1800 numbers working with your new phone system, along with fax to email and on-hold messaging.
-
4G Backup for when the line drops
4G Backup fails over automatically to Australia's biggest mobile network, covering 98.8% of the population, then fails back once your main connection returns.
-
Our own network
Summit builds, owns and operates its network, with Points of Presence in NEXTDC data centres and DDoS protection as standard.

We recently moved our dental practice over to Summit for phone services, and the experience has been excellent from start to finish. The team has been responsive, professional, and incredibly helpful throughout the entire setup process. The transition was smooth, any issues were addressed promptly, and communication was always clear and efficient. Reliable phones and internet are essential for a busy practice like ours, and Summit has delivered exactly that. A special thank you to Michael for his patience and ongoing assistance during the transition. Highly recommend Summit to any business looking for reliable service and great customer support.Read more

After working with another ISP for several months to deliver a critical internet service for a major international sporting event, we were ultimately advised that the required upgrade was unlikely to be completed prior to event week. This left us facing a significant risk to service delivery. After exhausting all other options (and a few sleepless nights) we came across Summit Internet. From the initial conversation, Allan immediately understood the severity of the situation and quickly engaged his technical delivery team. Michael “Radar” was on site within days to assess and finalise a solution. Despite challenging conditions, including large trees and other obstructions, he worked tirelessly to design and implement an alternative approach. Leveraging an adjacent building, a temporary NBN connection, and a wireless link into the comms room, the solution was delivered within 24 hours of the initial site visit. Not only was the outcome faster than expected, but it was also more cost effective and delivered higher speeds than originally promised by the previous ISP. Over the course of the event, the service handled terabytes of data and supported hundreds of concurrent users without a single speed or performance issue. I cannot thank Summit Internet, particularly Allan and Radar enough for their exceptional service, technical expertise, and commitment to delivering under pressure. Highly recommended.Read more

Summit internet recently set my small business up with a local land line number and a soft phone that runs off an app on my mobile - getting my personal phone number off the internet and being able to distinguish between business and personal calls is a game changer. Whole process took less than a week, and is super cost effective. Highly recommend.Read more
