Overview
Buroserv is a Sydney-based telecommunications provider, headquartered in Chatswood, that describes itself as a Tier 2 service provider with services powered by the Optus and Telstra networks. It sells business internet from nbn through to fibre, fixed wireless and SD-WAN, hosted phone systems under its BuroX and Buro3CX names, Microsoft Teams calling via Direct Routing, and business mobile plans. Buroserv also supplies wholesale services to resellers, and it merged with PlanetTel in early 2017.
Businesses review their provider for ordinary reasons: a contract is ending, the office is moving, the team has outgrown its phone system, or they want internet and phones from one carrier that deals only with businesses.
Summit offers business nbn with a static IP, Ethernet over fibre, fixed wireless across Melbourne and regional Victoria, a cloud phone system, SIP trunks and Microsoft Teams Calling, all on a network we build, own and operate. Summit Internet is an independent carrier and is not affiliated with Buroserv.
How Summit Helps
-
A Business-Only Carrier
Summit does not sell residential services. Every product, plan and support process is built around what businesses need, and we have been doing it for 26 years.
-
A Cloud Phone System With Every Feature Included
If you use a hosted phone system today, Hosted PBX starts from $10 per user per month with every feature included: auto attendant, ring groups, call queues, voicemail to email, call recording and mobile and desktop apps. We can preconfigure your handsets and ship them to you.
-
Microsoft Teams Calling via Direct Routing
If your team already lives in Teams, Microsoft Teams Calling connects it to the phone network through Direct Routing. Summit does not resell Microsoft licences, so you keep your existing Microsoft arrangement.
-
SIP Trunks for the Phone System You Already Own
Running your own PBX, including a 3CX system? SIP trunks start from 2 channels and scale up or down as your call volumes change.
-
Business Internet With a Static IP
Business nbn comes with a static IP included, with speeds up to 2000/500 Mbps on full-fibre nbn. For sites that need dedicated capacity, we offer Ethernet over fibre.
-
Fixed Wireless in Melbourne and Regional Victoria
If your premises is in our footprint, fixed wireless runs across 500+ suburbs with symmetric speeds from 10 Mbps up to 10 Gbps, installed in 10 business days or your first month is free.
-
4G Backup That Fails Over Automatically
4G Backup switches to Australia's biggest mobile network, with 98.8% population coverage, if your main connection drops, then fails back automatically when it returns.
-
Internet, Phones and Mobile on One Bill
When your internet is also Summit's, voice traffic is prioritised with QoS. Add business mobile SIM plans and 1300 and 1800 numbers, and it all arrives on one bill.
How It Works
- 1 Tell us what you have
Tell us what you have
Share a recent bill or a list of your services: internet, phone numbers, hosted extensions, SIP trunks, Teams users and mobiles. We map each one to its Summit equivalent.
- 2 Check your contract end date
Check your contract end date
We help you time the switch so you avoid paying out a contract you do not need to.
- 3 Order the new internet first
Order the new internet first
Your Summit connection is installed and tested before anything changes on your phones.
- 4 Port your numbers
Port your numbers
We lodge the port request for your existing numbers. Keep your current service active until the port completes, because only active numbers can be ported. The ACMA says single local numbers generally port in 8 to 15 days, and multi-number ports can take up to 30 days.
- 5 Go live, then cancel
Go live, then cancel
Once your numbers are working on Summit, you cancel the old services. Preconfigured handsets mean your team can start making calls straight away.

We recently moved our dental practice over to Summit for phone services, and the experience has been excellent from start to finish. The team has been responsive, professional, and incredibly helpful throughout the entire setup process. The transition was smooth, any issues were addressed promptly, and communication was always clear and efficient. Reliable phones and internet are essential for a busy practice like ours, and Summit has delivered exactly that. A special thank you to Michael for his patience and ongoing assistance during the transition. Highly recommend Summit to any business looking for reliable service and great customer support.Read more

After working with another ISP for several months to deliver a critical internet service for a major international sporting event, we were ultimately advised that the required upgrade was unlikely to be completed prior to event week. This left us facing a significant risk to service delivery. After exhausting all other options (and a few sleepless nights) we came across Summit Internet. From the initial conversation, Allan immediately understood the severity of the situation and quickly engaged his technical delivery team. Michael “Radar” was on site within days to assess and finalise a solution. Despite challenging conditions, including large trees and other obstructions, he worked tirelessly to design and implement an alternative approach. Leveraging an adjacent building, a temporary NBN connection, and a wireless link into the comms room, the solution was delivered within 24 hours of the initial site visit. Not only was the outcome faster than expected, but it was also more cost effective and delivered higher speeds than originally promised by the previous ISP. Over the course of the event, the service handled terabytes of data and supported hundreds of concurrent users without a single speed or performance issue. I cannot thank Summit Internet, particularly Allan and Radar enough for their exceptional service, technical expertise, and commitment to delivering under pressure. Highly recommended.Read more

Summit internet recently set my small business up with a local land line number and a soft phone that runs off an app on my mobile - getting my personal phone number off the internet and being able to distinguish between business and personal calls is a game changer. Whole process took less than a week, and is super cost effective. Highly recommend.Read more
