Overview
BridgeTel is a Sydney-based telecommunications provider that sells business-grade nbn, SIP trunking for businesses keeping their existing phone system, and hosted PBX phone plans. If you are a BridgeTel customer, your business probably relies on some combination of those three services.
There are plenty of ordinary reasons to review a provider: a contract coming to an end, an office move, a new phone system, or simply wanting your internet and phones to come from one carrier that also runs the network underneath them. It is a good moment to check that what you are paying for still matches how your team works.
Summit Internet offers the same kinds of services, built for businesses only: business nbn with a static IP included, SIP trunks for existing phone systems, and a Hosted PBX cloud phone system from $10 per user per month. We have been in business for 26 years and operate our own network with Points of Presence in NEXTDC data centres.
Summit Internet is an independent Australian carrier and is not affiliated with BridgeTel.
How Summit Helps
-
Business nbn with a static IP included
Our business nbn is available nationally and includes a static IP as standard. On full-fibre nbn, speeds go up to 2000/500 Mbps, with DDoS protection included.
-
SIP trunks for the phone system you already own
If you use SIP trunks today, you can keep your existing phone system and move the trunks to Summit. Our SIP trunks start from 2 channels and scale up or down as your call volumes change.
-
A cloud phone system with every feature included
Our Hosted PBX starts from $10 per user per month with auto attendant, ring groups, call queues, voicemail to email, call recording and mobile and desktop apps all included. Handsets can be preconfigured and shipped to your office.
-
Voice prioritised on your own connection
When your internet connection is also with Summit, voice traffic is prioritised with QoS, so calls are not competing with downloads and video meetings on the same link.
-
Keep trading if the line drops
Add 4G Backup and your connection fails over automatically to Australia's biggest mobile network, with 98.8% population coverage, then fails back when the main service returns.
-
Fixed wireless in Melbourne and regional Victoria
If your office is in Melbourne or regional Victoria, Summit fixed wireless is available across 500+ suburbs, with symmetric speeds from 10 Mbps up to 10 Gbps, installed in 10 business days or the first month is free.
-
Microsoft Teams Calling and 1300 numbers
Connect your phone numbers to Teams through Microsoft Teams Calling via Direct Routing, and add 1300 and 1800 inbound numbers, fax to email and on-hold messaging.
-
Internet, phones and mobile on one bill
Bring internet, voice and business mobile SIM plans together, with one carrier and one invoice to manage.

We recently moved our dental practice over to Summit for phone services, and the experience has been excellent from start to finish. The team has been responsive, professional, and incredibly helpful throughout the entire setup process. The transition was smooth, any issues were addressed promptly, and communication was always clear and efficient. Reliable phones and internet are essential for a busy practice like ours, and Summit has delivered exactly that. A special thank you to Michael for his patience and ongoing assistance during the transition. Highly recommend Summit to any business looking for reliable service and great customer support.Read more

After working with another ISP for several months to deliver a critical internet service for a major international sporting event, we were ultimately advised that the required upgrade was unlikely to be completed prior to event week. This left us facing a significant risk to service delivery. After exhausting all other options (and a few sleepless nights) we came across Summit Internet. From the initial conversation, Allan immediately understood the severity of the situation and quickly engaged his technical delivery team. Michael “Radar” was on site within days to assess and finalise a solution. Despite challenging conditions, including large trees and other obstructions, he worked tirelessly to design and implement an alternative approach. Leveraging an adjacent building, a temporary NBN connection, and a wireless link into the comms room, the solution was delivered within 24 hours of the initial site visit. Not only was the outcome faster than expected, but it was also more cost effective and delivered higher speeds than originally promised by the previous ISP. Over the course of the event, the service handled terabytes of data and supported hundreds of concurrent users without a single speed or performance issue. I cannot thank Summit Internet, particularly Allan and Radar enough for their exceptional service, technical expertise, and commitment to delivering under pressure. Highly recommended.Read more

Summit internet recently set my small business up with a local land line number and a soft phone that runs off an app on my mobile - getting my personal phone number off the internet and being able to distinguish between business and personal calls is a game changer. Whole process took less than a week, and is super cost effective. Highly recommend.Read more
