Overview

Breeze Connect is the telco division of IT distributor Leader Computers. It supplies SIP trunks, hosted 3CX phone systems, Microsoft Teams voice, inbound numbers and business nbn to businesses, and it sells only through channel partners such as managed service providers and IT resellers rather than directly to end users.

That means many Breeze Connect services were chosen by an IT provider as part of a wider package. There are good reasons to look at the phone and internet side on its own: a contract coming to an end, a move to a new office, a change of IT provider, or wanting internet, phones and mobiles from one carrier with a single point of accountability.

Summit Internet supplies SIP trunks for existing phone systems, a fully featured Hosted PBX, Microsoft Teams Calling via Direct Routing and 1300 and 1800 numbers, alongside business nbn with a static IP included. We have been doing this for Australian businesses for 26 years.

Summit Internet is an independent carrier and is not affiliated with Breeze Connect or Leader Computers.

How Summit Helps

  • SIP trunks for the phone system you already have

If your 3CX or other IP phone system is working well, you do not need to replace it. Summit SIP trunks start from 2 channels and scale up or down as your call volume changes.

  • A cloud phone system with every feature included

Summit's Hosted PBX starts from $10 per user per month with auto attendant, ring groups, call queues, voicemail to email, call recording and mobile and desktop apps all included. There are no feature tiers to work through.

  • Microsoft Teams Calling

If your staff already live in Teams, we connect calling through Direct Routing so people make and take calls from the Teams app. Summit does not resell Microsoft licences, so you keep your existing Microsoft agreement.

  • Keep your numbers

We port your existing local numbers and 1300 or 1800 numbers to Summit, so customers keep calling the numbers they already know.

  • Voice traffic prioritised on Summit internet

When your internet connection is also with Summit, voice traffic is prioritised across the link (QoS), which helps keep calls clear when the office connection is busy.

  • Business nbn with a static IP

Business nbn is available nationally with a static IP included, up to 2000/500 Mbps on full-fibre nbn. Ethernet over fibre is also available.

  • Backup for when the line drops

4G Backup fails over automatically to Australia's biggest mobile network (98.8% population coverage) and fails back automatically when your main connection returns.

  • One bill for internet, phones and mobile

Business mobile SIM plans, internet and phones sit on one Summit bill, with one carrier responsible for all of it.

How It Works

  1. 1 Tell us what you have

Send us a recent bill or a list of your numbers, SIP channels, handsets and sites, and let us know when your current agreement ends.

  2. 2 Get a recommendation and quote

We recommend SIP trunks for your existing system, a move to Hosted PBX, or Teams Calling, and quote internet and backup at the same time if you want them.

  3. 3 Set up before the cutover

We build your service, configure call flows and can preconfigure and ship handsets so they are ready on the day.

  4. 4 Port your numbers

We lodge the port of your existing numbers. Keep your Breeze Connect service active until the port completes, because only active numbers can be ported. The ACMA says single local numbers generally port in 8 to 15 days, and multi-number ports can take up to 30 days.

  5. 5 Cancel the old service

Once your numbers are live on Summit and calls are working, arrange cancellation of the old service through your provider.

  • After working with another ISP for several months to deliver a critical internet service for a major international sporting event, we were ultimately advised that the required upgrade was unlikely to be completed prior to event week. This left us facing a significant risk to service delivery. After exhausting all other options (and a few sleepless nights) we came across Summit Internet. From the initial conversation, Allan immediately understood the severity of the situation and quickly engaged his technical delivery team. Michael “Radar” was on site within days to assess and finalise a solution. Despite challenging conditions, including large trees and other obstructions, he worked tirelessly to design and implement an alternative approach. Leveraging an adjacent building, a temporary NBN connection, and a wireless link into the comms room, the solution was delivered within 24 hours of the initial site visit. Not only was the outcome faster than expected, but it was also more cost effective and delivered higher speeds than originally promised by the previous ISP. Over the course of the event, the service handled terabytes of data and supported hundreds of concurrent users without a single speed or performance issue. I cannot thank Summit Internet, particularly Allan and Radar enough for their exceptional service, technical expertise, and commitment to delivering under pressure. Highly recommended.Read more

  • Summit internet recently set my small business up with a local land line number and a soft phone that runs off an app on my mobile - getting my personal phone number off the internet and being able to distinguish between business and personal calls is a game changer. Whole process took less than a week, and is super cost effective. Highly recommend.Read more

Frequently asked questions

Is Summit Internet part of Breeze Connect?
No. Summit Internet is an independent Australian carrier holding ACMA Carrier Licence #388. We are not affiliated with Breeze Connect or Leader Computers.
Why switch if my Breeze Connect service is working?
If your current service does everything you need, there may be no reason to switch. Businesses usually review their provider when a contract ends, when they move office, when they change IT provider, or when they want internet, phones and mobiles with one carrier.
Will I have to pay to break my contract?
That depends on the agreement you or your IT provider signed. Check the term and any exit fees, and we can time the switch to line up with the end of your contract.
Can I keep my phone numbers?
Yes. We port your existing local numbers and 1300 or 1800 numbers to Summit. Keep your current service active until the port completes, because only active numbers can be ported. The ACMA says single local numbers generally port in 8 to 15 days, and multi-number ports can take up to 30 days.
I bought my Breeze Connect service through my IT provider. Can I still switch?
Yes. You can ask to port your existing numbers to Summit. We are happy to work with your IT provider on the change, and you can keep them for the rest of your IT support if you wish.
Can I keep my 3CX or existing phone system?
Yes. Summit SIP trunks work with existing IP phone systems and start from 2 channels. If you would rather stop managing a phone system, our Hosted PBX is the alternative.
Do you offer Microsoft Teams calling?
Yes. We connect Teams Calling through Direct Routing. Summit does not resell Microsoft licences, so your existing Microsoft licensing stays as it is.
Can I move my internet to Summit as well?
Yes. Business nbn is available nationally with a static IP included, and 4G Backup is available for automatic failover. When your internet is also with Summit, voice traffic is prioritised on the connection.
