The Connectivity Challenge

BigAir built a solid reputation for business fixed wireless. In 2016 it was acquired by Superloop, and its services now sit inside a much larger company with a broad range of products.

For many businesses still on a BigAir link, that link was installed years ago and has not been looked at since. Meanwhile the way your business uses the internet has changed: cloud apps, video meetings, VoIP phones and payment terminals all lean on it every minute of the day. Is your connection still sized for how you work now? And when it needs attention, do you know who is actually looking after it?

Summit is a Melbourne fixed wireless carrier, and fixed wireless for business is what we are built around. If you are reviewing your BigAir service, we are worth a conversation.

How Summit Helps

  • Fixed Wireless Is Our Core

Summit's fixed wireless network is our flagship, not one product line among dozens. We have been building and expanding it across Melbourne since August 2000.

  • Business-Only Network

There are no residential customers on our network. Capacity is planned around business hours, so your speeds hold up when your business is busiest.

  • Symmetric Speeds From 10 Mbps to 10 Gbps

Pick the speed you need today, with symmetric options so uploads match downloads, and step up as you grow without changing provider.

  • Installed in 10 Business Days, Guaranteed

Your service is live within 10 business days of order, or your first month is free.

  • We Own What We Sell

Summit holds ACMA Carrier Licence #388. We own the towers, backhaul and core network, with Points of Presence in NEXTDC data centres.

  • Phones and Backup on the Same Network

Hosted PBX, SIP trunks and automatic 4G failover all run with your internet, from one carrier, on one invoice.

  • Multi-Site Ready

Connect every branch to the same network with consistent performance, rather than waiting on separate fibre builds for each location.

How It Works

  1. 1 Check Your Address

Use our coverage checker or call 1300 049 749. We will confirm whether our network reaches each of your sites.

  2. 2 Compare Like for Like

Tell us your current speed, what you pay and when your contract ends. We will give you a clear, comparable quote.

  3. 3 Survey and Install

Our technicians confirm line of sight and install our own antenna on your roof. There is no equipment to buy.

  4. 4 Go Live, Then Cancel

We test your Summit connection while your existing service is still running. You cancel the old one only once you are happy.

  • After working with another ISP for several months to deliver a critical internet service for a major international sporting event, we were ultimately advised that the required upgrade was unlikely to be completed prior to event week. This left us facing a significant risk to service delivery. After exhausting all other options (and a few sleepless nights) we came across Summit Internet. From the initial conversation, Allan immediately understood the severity of the situation and quickly engaged his technical delivery team. Michael “Radar” was on site within days to assess and finalise a solution. Despite challenging conditions, including large trees and other obstructions, he worked tirelessly to design and implement an alternative approach. Leveraging an adjacent building, a temporary NBN connection, and a wireless link into the comms room, the solution was delivered within 24 hours of the initial site visit. Not only was the outcome faster than expected, but it was also more cost effective and delivered higher speeds than originally promised by the previous ISP. Over the course of the event, the service handled terabytes of data and supported hundreds of concurrent users without a single speed or performance issue. I cannot thank Summit Internet, particularly Allan and Radar enough for their exceptional service, technical expertise, and commitment to delivering under pressure. Highly recommended.Read more

  • Summit internet recently set my small business up with a local land line number and a soft phone that runs off an app on my mobile - getting my personal phone number off the internet and being able to distinguish between business and personal calls is a game changer. Whole process took less than a week, and is super cost effective. Highly recommend.Read more
