Overview
Atom Telecom is an Australian communications provider founded in 2020. Through its Atomic platform it offers hosted PBX, number hosting including 1300 and 1800 numbers, business SMS, mobile and nbn services, and it also supplies those services to other providers who sell them under their own brand.
Businesses review their phone provider for ordinary reasons: a contract coming to an end, an office move, a new phone system, or wanting internet, phones and mobile from a single carrier that only serves businesses. If any of those apply to you, it is worth comparing your options before you renew.
Summit Internet has been a business carrier for 26 years. We run a Hosted PBX from $10 per user per month with every feature included, SIP trunks for your existing phone system, Microsoft Teams Calling via Direct Routing and 1300 and 1800 numbers, alongside business nbn with a static IP included and business mobile SIM plans.
Summit Internet is an independent carrier and is not affiliated with Atom Telecom.
How Summit Helps
-
A cloud phone system with every feature included
Our Hosted PBX starts from $10 per user per month and includes auto attendant and IVR, ring groups, call queues, voicemail to email, call recording and mobile and desktop apps. There are no feature tiers to work through.
-
Keep your numbers, including 1300 and 1800
We port your existing local numbers and 1300 and 1800 inbound numbers, so customers keep calling the numbers they already know.
-
SIP trunks for the phone system you already have
If you run your own PBX, our SIP trunks connect it to the network. Start from 2 channels and scale up or down as your call volumes change.
-
Microsoft Teams Calling via Direct Routing
Make and take external calls inside Teams with Direct Routing on Summit's voice network. You keep your existing Microsoft licences, as Summit does not resell them.
-
Business nbn with a static IP
Pair your phones with business nbn, up to 2000/500 Mbps on full-fibre nbn with a static IP included. When the internet connection is also Summit's, voice traffic is prioritised with QoS.
-
Business mobile on the same bill
Add business mobile SIM plans so your phone system, internet and mobiles sit with one carrier and one monthly bill.
-
Handsets ready to plug in
We can preconfigure handsets and ship them to your office, so your team can plug in and start making calls.
-
Stay online when the line drops
Add 4G Backup for automatic failover to Australia's biggest mobile network, with 98.8% population coverage, and automatic fail-back when your main service returns.
How It Works
- 1 Talk to us
Talk to us
Tell us how many users, numbers, mobiles and sites you have, and whether you use a cloud phone system, SIP trunks or Teams. We recommend a setup and send a quote.
- 2 Check your contract
Check your contract
Look at your current agreement so the switch lines up with the end of your term and you avoid unnecessary exit fees. If you buy your Atom Telecom services through another provider, your agreement is with that provider.
- 3 Set up your new service
Set up your new service
We build your phone system or trunks, configure call flows, and preconfigure and ship any handsets you need.
- 4 Port your numbers
Port your numbers
We lodge the port of your existing numbers. Keep your current service active until the port completes, because only active numbers can be ported. The ACMA says single local numbers generally port in 8 to 15 days, and multi-number ports can take up to 30 days.
- 5 Go live
Go live
Once your numbers arrive, calls ring on Summit and you can cancel your old service.

We recently moved our dental practice over to Summit for phone services, and the experience has been excellent from start to finish. The team has been responsive, professional, and incredibly helpful throughout the entire setup process. The transition was smooth, any issues were addressed promptly, and communication was always clear and efficient. Reliable phones and internet are essential for a busy practice like ours, and Summit has delivered exactly that. A special thank you to Michael for his patience and ongoing assistance during the transition. Highly recommend Summit to any business looking for reliable service and great customer support.Read more

After working with another ISP for several months to deliver a critical internet service for a major international sporting event, we were ultimately advised that the required upgrade was unlikely to be completed prior to event week. This left us facing a significant risk to service delivery. After exhausting all other options (and a few sleepless nights) we came across Summit Internet. From the initial conversation, Allan immediately understood the severity of the situation and quickly engaged his technical delivery team. Michael “Radar” was on site within days to assess and finalise a solution. Despite challenging conditions, including large trees and other obstructions, he worked tirelessly to design and implement an alternative approach. Leveraging an adjacent building, a temporary NBN connection, and a wireless link into the comms room, the solution was delivered within 24 hours of the initial site visit. Not only was the outcome faster than expected, but it was also more cost effective and delivered higher speeds than originally promised by the previous ISP. Over the course of the event, the service handled terabytes of data and supported hundreds of concurrent users without a single speed or performance issue. I cannot thank Summit Internet, particularly Allan and Radar enough for their exceptional service, technical expertise, and commitment to delivering under pressure. Highly recommended.Read more

Summit internet recently set my small business up with a local land line number and a soft phone that runs off an app on my mobile - getting my personal phone number off the internet and being able to distinguish between business and personal calls is a game changer. Whole process took less than a week, and is super cost effective. Highly recommend.Read more
