Overview

Arrow Voice & Data is a privately owned Australian telecommunications and IT provider, founded in 2002. It sells businesses cloud phone systems, contact centre services, Microsoft Teams Phone and Operator Connect, 1300 and 1800 numbers, business internet including nbn and fibre, business mobile plans and managed IT services.

Businesses review their phone provider for ordinary reasons: a contract coming to an end, an office move, a growing team, or wanting internet, phones and mobile from one carrier that only serves businesses. If you are at one of those points, it is worth comparing options before you renew.

Summit offers a Hosted PBX cloud phone system with every feature included, SIP trunks for existing phone systems, Microsoft Teams Calling through Direct Routing and 1300 and 1800 numbers, alongside business nbn with a static IP and 4G Backup. You can port your existing numbers across.

Summit Internet is an independent carrier and is not affiliated with Arrow Voice & Data.

How Summit Helps

  • A cloud phone system with every feature included

Summit's Hosted PBX starts from $10 per user per month. Auto attendant, ring groups, call queues, voicemail to email, call recording and mobile and desktop apps are all included, not sold as add-ons.

  • Handsets ready to plug in

Summit can preconfigure handsets and ship them to your office, so your team can start making calls on the new system with minimal setup on the day.

  • SIP trunks for the phone system you already own

If you have an on-premises phone system you want to keep, Summit's SIP trunks start from 2 channels and scale up or down as your call volumes change.

  • Teams calling without changing your Microsoft licences

If your staff live in Microsoft Teams, Summit connects calling through Direct Routing. Summit does not resell Microsoft licences, so your existing Microsoft 365 arrangements stay as they are.

  • Keep your 1300 and 1800 numbers

Your inbound numbers are often the ones printed on vehicles, websites and invoices. Summit supports 1300 and 1800 numbers, plus fax to email and on-hold messaging.

  • Voice prioritised on Summit internet

When your internet connection is also Summit's, voice traffic is prioritised with QoS. Summit's business nbn includes a static IP, with up to 2000/500 Mbps on full-fibre nbn.

  • Stay connected if the line drops

4G Backup fails over automatically to Australia's biggest mobile network, which covers 98.8% of the population, and fails back when your main service returns.

  • One bill for internet, phones and mobile

Summit can supply internet, phones and business mobile SIM plans together, so there is one provider and one bill to manage.

How It Works

  1. 1 Tell us what you have

Share a recent bill or a list of your services: phone numbers, users, handsets, 1300 numbers, internet and mobiles. We will map out the equivalent on Summit.

  2. 2 Get a quote and plan the timing

We will quote the services you need and help you line the switch up with the end of your current agreement where possible.

  3. 3 Set up the new system

We build your call flows, ring groups and voicemail on Summit, and preconfigure and ship handsets if you need them.

  4. 4 Port your numbers

Keep your Arrow Voice services active until the port completes, because only active numbers can be ported. The ACMA says single local numbers generally port in 8 to 15 days, and multi-number ports can take up to 30 days.

  5. 5 Cancel the old services

Once your numbers are live on Summit and calls are working, you can arrange to cancel any remaining services with your previous provider.

  • After working with another ISP for several months to deliver a critical internet service for a major international sporting event, we were ultimately advised that the required upgrade was unlikely to be completed prior to event week. This left us facing a significant risk to service delivery. After exhausting all other options (and a few sleepless nights) we came across Summit Internet. From the initial conversation, Allan immediately understood the severity of the situation and quickly engaged his technical delivery team. Michael “Radar” was on site within days to assess and finalise a solution. Despite challenging conditions, including large trees and other obstructions, he worked tirelessly to design and implement an alternative approach. Leveraging an adjacent building, a temporary NBN connection, and a wireless link into the comms room, the solution was delivered within 24 hours of the initial site visit. Not only was the outcome faster than expected, but it was also more cost effective and delivered higher speeds than originally promised by the previous ISP. Over the course of the event, the service handled terabytes of data and supported hundreds of concurrent users without a single speed or performance issue. I cannot thank Summit Internet, particularly Allan and Radar enough for their exceptional service, technical expertise, and commitment to delivering under pressure. Highly recommended.Read more

Frequently asked questions

Is Summit Internet part of Arrow Voice?
No. Summit Internet is an independent Australian carrier holding ACMA Carrier Licence #388. It is not owned by, affiliated with or a partner of Arrow Voice & Data.
Why switch if my Arrow Voice service is working?
If your current services do everything you need at a price you are comfortable with, there may be no reason to switch. Businesses usually look at Summit when a contract is ending, when they are moving office, or when they want internet, phones and mobile from one business-only carrier.
Will I have to pay to break my contract?
That depends on your agreement with your current provider. Check your contract terms, and if there are early termination costs, we can help you time the switch to your contract end date.
Can I keep my phone numbers?
In most cases, yes. Summit can port your existing numbers, including 1300 and 1800 numbers. Keep your current service active until the port completes, because only active numbers can be ported. The ACMA says single local numbers generally port in 8 to 15 days, and multi-number ports can take up to 30 days.
Can I keep my existing handsets?
Tell us which handset models you have and we will confirm whether they can be used with Summit. Summit can also preconfigure and ship new handsets.
I use Microsoft Teams for calls. Can Summit support that?
Yes. Summit provides Microsoft Teams Calling through Direct Routing. Summit does not resell Microsoft licences, so you keep your Microsoft 365 licensing as it is.
Do I need to move my internet to Summit as well?
Not necessarily. Tell us about your current setup and we will quote the services you want to move. If your internet is also with Summit, voice traffic is prioritised with QoS and everything sits on one bill.
Where does Summit provide services?
Summit provides business nbn, phones and mobile to Australian businesses nationally. Its fixed wireless network covers Melbourne and regional Victoria only.
