Overview
1Cloud Voice & Data is a Melbourne-headquartered telecommunications provider for businesses. It sells voice services including a hosted virtual PBX, SIP trunk lines and 1300 and 1800 inbound numbers, alongside business internet such as nbn plans, Ethernet services and fixed wireless, plus business mobile and 5G mobile broadband plans.
Businesses review their provider for all sorts of reasons: a contract is ending, they are moving office, they want internet and phones from one carrier, or they want a provider that deals only with businesses.
Summit offers a cloud phone system, SIP trunks for the phone system you already own, inbound numbers and Microsoft Teams Calling, together with business nbn with a static IP, Ethernet over fibre and fixed wireless across Melbourne and regional Victoria. Summit builds, owns and operates its own network. Summit Internet is an independent carrier and is not affiliated with 1Cloud Voice & Data.
How Summit Helps
-
A Business-Only Carrier
Summit does not sell residential services. We work only with businesses, and we have been doing it for 26 years.
-
A Cloud Phone System With Every Feature Included
Hosted PBX starts from $10 per user per month and includes auto attendant, ring groups, call queues, voicemail to email, call recording and mobile and desktop apps. We can preconfigure your handsets and ship them to you.
-
SIP Trunks for the Phone System You Already Own
If you run an onsite phone system, SIP trunks start from 2 channels and scale up or down as your call volumes change.
-
1300 and 1800 Numbers
Keep presenting a national number to your customers. We provide 1300 and 1800 inbound numbers, with on-hold messaging and fax to email available too.
-
Business Internet With a Static IP
Business nbn comes with a static IP included, with speeds up to 2000/500 Mbps on full-fibre nbn. For sites that need dedicated capacity, we offer Ethernet over fibre, and in Melbourne and regional Victoria, fixed wireless across 500+ suburbs with symmetric speeds from 10 Mbps up to 10 Gbps.
-
Voice Prioritised on Your Own Carrier's Network
When your internet connection is also Summit's, voice traffic is prioritised with QoS. Our network has Points of Presence in NEXTDC data centres and DDoS protection as standard.
-
4G Backup for When the Line Drops
4G Backup fails over automatically to Australia's biggest mobile network, with 98.8% population coverage, and fails back automatically when your main service returns.
-
Mobiles and One Bill
Add business mobile SIM plans or Microsoft Teams Calling via Direct Routing. Internet, phones and mobile arrive on one bill.

Port your numbers
We port your existing numbers across. Keep your 1Cloud Voice & Data service active until the port completes, because only active numbers can be ported. The ACMA says single local numbers generally port in 8 to 15 days, and multi-number ports can take up to 30 days.

We recently moved our dental practice over to Summit for phone services, and the experience has been excellent from start to finish. The team has been responsive, professional, and incredibly helpful throughout the entire setup process. The transition was smooth, any issues were addressed promptly, and communication was always clear and efficient. Reliable phones and internet are essential for a busy practice like ours, and Summit has delivered exactly that. A special thank you to Michael for his patience and ongoing assistance during the transition. Highly recommend Summit to any business looking for reliable service and great customer support.Read more

After working with another ISP for several months to deliver a critical internet service for a major international sporting event, we were ultimately advised that the required upgrade was unlikely to be completed prior to event week. This left us facing a significant risk to service delivery. After exhausting all other options (and a few sleepless nights) we came across Summit Internet. From the initial conversation, Allan immediately understood the severity of the situation and quickly engaged his technical delivery team. Michael “Radar” was on site within days to assess and finalise a solution. Despite challenging conditions, including large trees and other obstructions, he worked tirelessly to design and implement an alternative approach. Leveraging an adjacent building, a temporary NBN connection, and a wireless link into the comms room, the solution was delivered within 24 hours of the initial site visit. Not only was the outcome faster than expected, but it was also more cost effective and delivered higher speeds than originally promised by the previous ISP. Over the course of the event, the service handled terabytes of data and supported hundreds of concurrent users without a single speed or performance issue. I cannot thank Summit Internet, particularly Allan and Radar enough for their exceptional service, technical expertise, and commitment to delivering under pressure. Highly recommended.Read more

Summit internet recently set my small business up with a local land line number and a soft phone that runs off an app on my mobile - getting my personal phone number off the internet and being able to distinguish between business and personal calls is a game changer. Whole process took less than a week, and is super cost effective. Highly recommend.Read more
