Overview

1300 EZYCALL is a Williamstown, Victoria business established in 2004 that began in phoneword marketing. It sells 13, 1300 and 1800 numbers and phonewords, international toll-free numbers, a self-managed Number Manager portal for call routing and reporting, professional greetings, an SMS portal and the Linkus softphone app for business calls.

An inbound number usually sits on top of other services: a phone system that answers the calls, internet that carries them and mobiles that pick them up after hours. Businesses often review the whole arrangement when a contract ends, when they move office, or when they want one provider responsible for the number, the phones and the connection rather than several.

Summit Internet is a business-only carrier that has served Australian businesses for 26 years. We provide 1300 and 1800 inbound numbers, a Hosted PBX cloud phone system, SIP trunks for existing phone systems and business nbn with a static IP, so your calls travel on a network we build, own and operate.

Summit Internet is an independent carrier and is not affiliated with 1300 EZYCALL.

How Summit Helps

  • Your inbound number, ported across

Your existing 1300 or 1800 number can be ported to Summit, so the number on your signage, vehicles and website stays the same. We manage the port request and keep you informed as it progresses.

  • A phone system that answers the calls

Our Hosted PBX starts from $10 per user per month with every feature included: auto attendant and IVR, ring groups, call queues, voicemail to email and call recording. Your inbound number can land directly on it.

  • Desk, mobile and desktop apps

Hosted PBX includes mobile and desktop apps, so staff can answer the business line from a laptop or phone. If you want desk handsets, we can preconfigure them and ship them ready to plug in.

  • SIP trunks for the system you already own

If you already have an on-premises phone system, SIP trunks connect it to Summit's network. Start from 2 channels and scale up or down as call volumes change.

  • Microsoft Teams Calling

If your team lives in Teams, we can connect your numbers to Microsoft Teams Calling via Direct Routing. You keep your existing Microsoft licensing; Summit provides the calling.

  • Internet built for voice

When your internet connection is also Summit's, voice traffic is prioritised so calls stay clear when the office is busy. Choose business nbn with a static IP included, or Ethernet over fibre.

  • Keep taking calls if the line drops

4G Backup fails over automatically to Australia's biggest mobile network, with 98.8% population coverage, and fails back when your main service returns.

  • Fax to email and on-hold messaging

Summit also provides fax to email and on-hold messaging, so the extras around your inbound line move with it.

How It Works

  1. 1 Tell us what you have

Share your inbound numbers, how calls are routed today, your phone system and your internet connection. We map out what needs to move.

  2. 2 Get a clear quote

We recommend the mix of inbound numbers, Hosted PBX or SIP trunks, internet and backup that fits how your business takes calls.

  3. 3 Set up the new service

We build your call flows, greetings and ring groups on Summit before anything changes, and ship preconfigured handsets if you need them.

  4. 4 Port your numbers

We lodge the port request. Keep your 1300 EZYCALL service active until the port completes, because only active numbers can be ported. The ACMA says single local numbers generally port in 8 to 15 days, and multi-number ports can take up to 30 days.

  5. 5 Go live and tidy up

Once calls are arriving on Summit, you can arrange to close the old service in line with your existing agreement.

  • After working with another ISP for several months to deliver a critical internet service for a major international sporting event, we were ultimately advised that the required upgrade was unlikely to be completed prior to event week. This left us facing a significant risk to service delivery. After exhausting all other options (and a few sleepless nights) we came across Summit Internet. From the initial conversation, Allan immediately understood the severity of the situation and quickly engaged his technical delivery team. Michael “Radar” was on site within days to assess and finalise a solution. Despite challenging conditions, including large trees and other obstructions, he worked tirelessly to design and implement an alternative approach. Leveraging an adjacent building, a temporary NBN connection, and a wireless link into the comms room, the solution was delivered within 24 hours of the initial site visit. Not only was the outcome faster than expected, but it was also more cost effective and delivered higher speeds than originally promised by the previous ISP. Over the course of the event, the service handled terabytes of data and supported hundreds of concurrent users without a single speed or performance issue. I cannot thank Summit Internet, particularly Allan and Radar enough for their exceptional service, technical expertise, and commitment to delivering under pressure. Highly recommended.Read more

  • Summit internet recently set my small business up with a local land line number and a soft phone that runs off an app on my mobile - getting my personal phone number off the internet and being able to distinguish between business and personal calls is a game changer. Whole process took less than a week, and is super cost effective. Highly recommend.Read more

Frequently asked questions

Is Summit Internet part of 1300 EZYCALL?
No. Summit Internet is an independent Australian carrier holding ACMA Carrier Licence #388. We are not affiliated with 1300 EZYCALL.
Why switch if my 1300 EZYCALL service is working?
If your current service does everything you need, there may be no reason to change. Businesses usually look at Summit when they want their inbound number, phone system and internet with one carrier, when a contract is ending, or when they are moving office.
Can I keep my phone numbers?
Yes, existing numbers, including 1300 and 1800 numbers, can generally be ported to Summit. Keep your current service active until the port completes, because only active numbers can be ported.
How long does porting take?
The ACMA says single local numbers generally port in 8 to 15 days, and multi-number ports can take up to 30 days. We set up your new service before the port so calls keep flowing.
Will I have to pay to break my contract?
That depends on your agreement with 1300 EZYCALL. Check your contract terms, and if there is a fixed term, we can time the switch to line up with its end date.
Do I need a new phone system?
Not necessarily. If you have an on-premises system you are happy with, SIP trunks connect it to Summit. If you would rather move to the cloud, Hosted PBX includes every feature from $10 per user per month.
Can calls to my 1300 number go to mobiles and home offices?
Yes. With Hosted PBX, ring groups, call queues and the mobile and desktop apps let staff answer business calls wherever they are working.
Do I have to take Summit internet as well?
No. You can take inbound numbers and voice on their own. When your internet is also Summit's, voice traffic is prioritised on the connection, which is why many businesses choose both.
Can I use Microsoft Teams for calls?
Yes. Summit connects your numbers to Microsoft Teams Calling via Direct Routing. We do not resell Microsoft licences, so you keep your existing licensing.
