Yes, just plug in a headset with a speaker and microphone. We can supply headsets at an additional cost.
Yes, you can receive calls on the device you have the softphone installed. It will present with the same caller id as your desk phone in the office.
Yes, you can dial a number just like from your desk phone in the office. It will present with the same caller id as your desk phone in the office.
When the softphone app is open on your computer or smart phone it will ring at the same time as your desk phone.
When the softphone app is closed it will not ring.
It is really easy to control if it will ring or if you will be available to answer calls.

You can only have one device logged in at a time.
A Summit softphone will replicate the behaviour of your desktop handset so you can answer the phone away from your desk. Your softphone and desk phone will both ring at the same time. You can answer either of them.
To use a softphone, you can use a USB headset which is available from Summit Internet, or, you can purchase these from most electronics retailers such as Officeworks, Harvey Norman and JB Hi-Fi.
On a mobile device, you can use a Bluetooth Headset.
