FlexPBX

You can forward your calls to a mobile phone or another land line.

Call charges will apply in line with your plan.

You can use FlexPBX on any internet connection. Whilst it does work on Mobile Internet, such as 4G, the best results are on a fixed line service, such as NBN, ADSL, Fixed Wireless or Fibre.

  1. Take your handset home
    You can disconnect your handset and take it home. If you require a power adapter, Summit Internet can supply these for $22 Each + Freight.
    There may need to be some reconfiguration to your handset if it is configured for VLANs. Summit Internet or your IT Partner will be able to assist you.
  2. Use a softphone
    You can use a software based phone. (See What is a Softphone)

Call parking is handled using the Feature Codes. E.g *3701 Park 1

Yes, you can receive calls on the device you have the softphone installed. It will present with the same caller id as your desk phone in the office.

When the softphone app is open on your computer or smart phone it will ring at the same time as your desk phone.

When the softphone app is closed it will not ring.

It is really easy to control if it will ring or if you will be available to answer calls.

A Summit softphone will replicate the behaviour of your desktop handset so you can answer the phone away from your desk. Your softphone and desk phone will both ring at the same time. You can answer either of them.

To use a softphone, you can use a USB headset which is available from Summit Internet, or, you can purchase these from most electronics retailers such as Officeworks, Harvey Norman and JB Hi-Fi.

On a mobile device, you can use a Bluetooth Headset.

Speed upgrades can be done on certain services.
The time to process these upgrades do vary.
Some service upgrades also have changes to your contractual obligations.

  • NBN – Changes can be processed in 2-7 Working Days.
  • Fibre – Changes can be processed in 30-90 Working Days.
  • Summit Fixed Wireless – Changes can be processed in 1-7 Working Days.
